We got two young pitchers some critical post-season experience and confidence. The only thing that worries me is the consistency in the lineup for the future, which is why it is imperative we got a big right handed hitter (jermaine dye?). Anyway, the future looks bright, and now it's time to move on to football.

The future looks really bright, I agree. I love Willie and this team has what every championship team needs, the ability to overcome adversity. Too bad it wasn't enough. Yeah, you guys can probably tell I'm feeling a little bit better today. And this loss will be engraved in my memory for the rest of my life, I'm sorry but that's how my memory works. I can go back to any date that was a heartbreaker for the Giants, or even for an amazing comeback. I can't help it, but it's stuck forever. This is what I had in the beginning of the year. It'd sure be great if Young would be willing to go to 2b and come to us. But not gonna happen. He'd have to be a 6th hitter with us. Pipe dream. I was all for signing Belliard earlier in the year as a thread of mine showed a long time ago, but not anymore. He's not a consistent enough hitter. I'm all for Endy and Lastings starting with Delucci as a backup. The focus should be on starting pitching. Hopefully Perez will be our 4th starter and Maine will be in there somewhere. The one good thing about Pedro's arm is that it puts more of a sense of urgency to sign a guy like zito.

Two "throw ins" in trades by Minaya have been our games 6 and 7 starter. People talk about him not needing to do much work by signing Beltran, Pedro, Wagner, etc., but give him some credit on the little ones. It's the reason we are still in it.

Nope, his appearance against us wasn't necessarily a fluke, but it wasn't legit. We were off the plane ride back and landed at 5 in the morning that time. Likewise, Darren Oliver was helped out by that that night too. He's not a 6 inning shutout pitcher, and same goes for Suppan.
