  1. Running the ball successfully on offense was key to that win. If only Jennings had gotten another yard, we would've won the game in victory formation.
  2. Whomever was at Center for Nassib was barely getting the ball to him in the New England game.
  3. Let's not forget that the Vikings won their division last year. And the window is closing on AP. I like a team who goes for it when they can. Flags fly forever. And the better they do, the more the 1st round pick looks like a 2nd round.
  4. I humbly disagree but we will probably never know
  5. Not much of a choice they had. They're a playoff team with a decent QB. Shaun Hill is not decent.
  6. I didn't think he was a genius for that reason, Seph. Let's not use revisionist history. I thought/think he's a genius motivator. Maybe his act wears thin but it seems to be more about the 49er brass than him. He had many feelers from NFL teams when he took Michigan. I think he'll be back too.
  7. I didn't watch the whole interview. Apparently, his girlfriend is an activist with Black Lives Matter. Did anyone ask him what he's done for the cause? I mean did he lend time or money or is he just using his notoriety to lend credence to the cause? He can talk to me when he walks the walk. I think he's about to be cut and this just about seals the deal that no other team will take him no matter how much the 49ers are willing to eat of the 12 million. He's getting beat out by Gabbert and some guy who was mowing lawns 2 weeks ago.
  8. Every ball player should get the most they can get. I don't know why people side with the billionaire owners. Especially in football, where it's all about the sign on.
  9. Of course there's a positive, it didn't count!
  10. 3 divided by 11 is 27% right? I think we're saying the same thing otherwise
  11. You're being contrary. There was a legacy of fine LBs because the bar was set high. Now you can't even limbo under that bar. 3-4, 4-3 my ass, there still more than 25% of your defense and you need talented guys there. If the talent scouts aren't doing their job, they should be gone. And so should the guy who employs them.
  12. We or he? We got LT , Carl Banks, Harry Cardon, Jesse Armstead,Kelly, Pepper, Reasons etc...
  13. I'm talking about from 2012-15. I don't have much optimism for this year's batch either. I would love to see us over compensate on LB's one year and see what happens...
  14. Antonio Pierce, MLB -- 103 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 8 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble Mathias Kiwanuka, OLB -- 46 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 4 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble Kawika Mitchell, OLB -- 76 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 interception, 4 passes defensed, 2 forced fumbles Reggie Torbor, OLB -- 39 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed ------------- Mathias Kiwanuka, OLB -- 85 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 interception, 2 passes defensed, 1 forced fumbleMichael Boley, OLB -- 94 tackles, 1 sack, 3 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble Jacquian Williams, OLB -- 71 tackles, 1 sacks, 5 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble Chase Blackburn, MLB (5 games) -- 28 tackles, 1 interception, 2 passes defensed Greg Jones, MLB -- 27 tackles --------- 2007 was definitely better because Antonio Pierce is better than anyone we've had since Jesse Armstead. And certainly better than anyone since. But 2011 was way better than anyone since and better than the current bunch. And Vendetta is right. Tuck, JPP with 10 fingers and a good back, and the rest were a one of that will not be repeated. Plus the game has changed. It's proven now that a good QB can neutralize a good rush. You need LB's
  15. How's that working out? I'll tell you how, that's how you lose 52-49...
  16. F him and his bowling ball walk off. That's right, I can hold a grudge!
  17. That sounds good in theory, but each year they get torched by poor linebacker play. Actually, it doesn't sound good in theory, there should be no weak part of a team. And it has little to do with where the money goes. There's enough money to have a deep team at all positions. The front office house cleaning will be completed after this 7-9 ish season.
  18. Usually teams will over compensate if they discover a glaring weakness during the previous season. Bad running backs?, bring in a bunch (not Jarrod)- Bad pass defense?, invest in a free agent or 2 The Giants staunch resistance to fixing the LB crew, which has been an issue for most of this century is mind blowing. The only answer must be ego. Someone thinks that he's smarter than everyone else when it comes to player personnel. Wonder who that could be?
