well said, i think the coaching staff felt it was understaffed last night and it affected their decisions in crucial situations. a healthy giants team beats a healthy bears team. hopefully, we'll meet again.
i agree with you on all of those points. the FG was a bonehead move but the result was devastatingly stupid.
i couldn't understand why jacobs wasnt in more plays as he usually is.
basically, coughlin is not a patient guy and neither is eli. they both like to go for the big hit.
teams play from behind all the time in the NFL. you act like 13-3 is some insurmountable lead.
and pettigout plays offense, it wasn't just toomer. look how many running plays go to his side. he's the focal point of the offense.
newsflash: houston beat jacksonville for the 2nd time this week, the're not that shitty.
gimme a break, it's one game where we were severely undermanned. once they made some adjustments on offense, that was it.
and once pettigout went out, that was it for our offense.
news flash, the bears are good.
you're mostly right, jg. losing pettigout really affected Eli. He was getting hit a lot. Mostly we were outmanned. The Bears are a good and HEALTHY team and quickly made corrections. Coaching staff made a few mistakes but nothing that changed the outcome. If we can somehow take 2 out of the next 3, we'd be very fortunate.
what universe have we entered where smalls is optimistic?
i'm thinking we need some help tonight. turnovers, wacky plays, weather, etc. straight up it doesn't look promising.
Bears win 17-14
No turnovers and I don't recall many negative (before the 20 yardline) starts with Morton. I would hesitate making changes. It's not like our offense needs better field position to score.
