  1. He's going to be the next great NFL GM (for some other team, after he learns from his mistakes with the Giants)
  2. if you had the likes of lance niekro and shea hillebrand playing in front of him, sweeney would have grabbed less pine.
  3. sportswrath backfield would suffer. you should let it slip innocently mid-thread that you are retiring and i'll report it as a scoop the next day. we'll get better coverage that way.
  4. i think it's because suzuki is a very common name in his country. he's a shy and unassuming guy.
  5. here's a rule of thumb for a defensive coordinator: if you give up more yardage per game than the rams, you didn't have a good year. it's like baseball's mendoza line.
  6. i know for a fact that ichiro's favorite sushi restaurant is in san francisco.
  7. you're a smug little bastard, arent ya?
  8. you have to overcome injuries. we were supposed to have a very deep DL this year. He never adjusted the scheme when Strahan left and we got killed on that side almost every game. Eagles lost Kearse and they adjusted, that's what a good Defensive coach does.
  9. The worst part about this is he threw a teammate under the bus. I'm sure that clubhouse is going to be a fun place this year.
  10. haha, shinjo. which in japanese means 'pop fly'
  11. There's better choices next year. The priority now is to hire some decent coordinators and conditioning coaches, have a decent draft, and make some key free agent acquisitions. See you in April!
  12. the difference between you and me is that I am stating my opinion and that's all it is. It's not my role to sway you. Whereas you think it is your duty to make others accept your opinion.
  13. phew, i'm glad i don't have to worry about anything else, that's a load off. thanks, boo
  14. Well, well Russ Ortiz. He's only 32,( a baby for us) but he sure throws like he's over 35. Only cost league minimum though, DBacks on the hook for the balance of 7.5 mill.
  15. i don't think there's little comparison, there's a right way and a wrong way to do things in life. And yes, the same principles apply whether it's your job or burger king. we'll have to disagree on tiki, it won't be the first thing we disagree on.
  16. I was using terminology that one would find in a white collar job such as yours. I thought you were sharp enough to get that. I have no qualms about people leaving on their own terms. I have even developed a training guide to show candidates how to graciously resign. I felt Tiki was smug, ungracious and definitely not a team player in the way in which he chose to resign. That's my feeling, has nothing to do with his effort on the field, i'm not questioning that.
  17. sounds like one of them is sitting in the men's room.
  18. So Boohyah let me ask you something. When you leave your current job, will you give 3 months notice and disassociate yourself from your co-workers, give numerous exit interviews saying how much of yourself you've given up for the company and how your heart's not in it anymore, and then on your final day, have more conversation with your competition than with your own co-workers?
  19. Warner: Do you feel a QB needs 2 working thumbs to be successful in the NFL?
  20. yes its 15 as long as you get over 25% on your first ballot, i believe.
  21. for the record: how many games did you go to last year?
