  1. you mean turn down more money. if he signs the option, texas pays $7 mill of his contract- if he opts out, they are off the hook.
  2. that's true- apparently, he doesn't think this current team has that potential.
  3. i think he meant a team with that kind of potential.
  4. you'll get your pinstripes taken away with that kind of talk. actually makes sense- especially with the new ballpark looming the following year (right?). you have the all star game next year, that locks in the season ticket sales. good year to rebuild- does that include letting AROD go?
  5. Dusty handing the ball to Russ Ortiz after taking him out of game 6 not making top 10?. Btw, Dusty's back!- in Cincinnati- prediction- Harang on DL in 2008.
  6. well he has 1 lost fumble. what's up with hixon- has he seen the field yet?
  7. the more important problem is KO coverage but Bradshaw deserves another chance. He fumbled once- that's not an epidemic and Rueben Droughns has no elusiveness whatsoever.
  8. btw, gallery is finding his stride now. they had him out of position.
  9. exactly- and why are they ranked 31st in KO coverage? no one is aggressive to the ball with the possible exception of Blackburn.
  10. I'll be traveling through the East Coast during the last week of October and will be located around 96th and Madison day of London game. Any suggestions for good place for food, drinks and Giants game?
  11. amazing he's still on the field with that heavy workload
  12. yes, but that was with a relatively young team of nobodies. there is question on how his style plays with a vet team.
  13. you make a good point, dub. duncan could be the manager for these guys. the hitters don't need managing. better to get someone who knows pitching. why do you dismiss girardi? most of the current crop of successful managers are ex-catchers.
  14. Are they really going to hire a guy with no managerial experience to run the rebuilding ( ) effort? Or will they bring back Girardi? or will it be LaRussa?- (longshot- have to move the Yankees to the west coast and allow dogs on the field. also, make room in the locker room for his ego) or someone else? Any thoughts who will be the manager for the last season in Yankee Stadium?
  15. We can take comfort in the fact that the Giants are the 3rd most cursed football team in NY.
  16. Special Teams defending kickoff returns has been a problem all season and needs to be addressed. As Giants fans know, left un-addressed, these things tend to bite us in the butt at the worst times. Also, our KO returns are pedestrian at best. Against good teams, you cannot afford to give up +20 in field position on kickoffs.
  17. he'd have to play without his balls because the wife would have those. no way she lets him come back.
  18. it seems like he dedicated himself this season to be "all that he can be." it's good to see him reaching this maturity level while he's at the top of his game.
  19. 4F, i got to say, you do get a little redundant in your yankee hating.
  20. a little. i thought he might have gotten a bit wiser.
  21. I couldn't believe it when I heard the announcers say that Steinbrenner said the Yankees wouldn't have Torre back if they didn't win this series but sure enough, he did. Guy's a piece of work. What a motivational message that is. :TD: :TD: :TD: :TD:
  22. As Pat Riley said, nothing really happens in a playoff series until someone loses at home. i'm surprised everyone is writing of the yanks and cubs already. considering what the yanks did to the A's (twice, wasn't it?) this series is just getting started.
