  1. plus he looked goofy in that skullcap.
  2. i have to question it when you call a guy who's having a pro bowl year 'mediocre' and you can't understand that a team is going to say 'that guy won't beat us" we lit them up the first game and they adjusted- that's what coaches do. whitten lit us up in the first game and we adjusted. they were better at it.
  3. some of you pick the weirdest scapegoats. plax is a pro bowler for crisakes. dallas made it a priority to stop him- just as we did with witten or whatever their tight end is. learn some football, will ya please?
  4. you'd think a guy with rice and moss in his name would have better moves. i've seen enough of him.
  5. exactly, never seen a guy crumble from contact like him. he actually goes backwards when hit.
  6. he's 43, ditto. manny is what barry was at 37. never swings at a bad pitch. barry still has the eye but doesn't always get around on the ones he likes.
  7. that last sentence is all i need to know about your ability to evaluate talent. thank god you're not a scout. for us.
  8. neither of those statements are true. but, he would love the friendly right field porch and the stacked lineup. i'd say he'd give you 30-35 hr's in 90 games. manny ramirez is the best pure hitter in baseball now.
  9. Looked to me like he was running for his life all game. Perhaps one of you Eli judgers can give an example where a QB had a spectacular game without the help of his teammates and coaches. Montana didn't do it/, Elway did it with legs sometimes but not often/, Steve Young same- / Favre- look how far he went on a bad team- everyone thought him to be washed up. Peyton is all about the system and so is Brady and so is Romo.
  10. I'd take TO anyday. Moss sleepwalked for 2 years in Oakland and stole millions. He's a front running phony.
  11. re: jacobs- in my eyes, they were trying too many slants and end runs when there was yardage to be had between the tackles.
  12. tough to judge for me - you'd think feliz is so lost at the plate that they'd give him the gg to justify his existence.
  13. i don't know how they figure, pete happy has a better fielding % and less errors than both of those guys.
  14. we have the 3rd best moss in the league. ours looks great until someone gets near him.
  15. No offense to Wright but Pedro Feliz had a better fielding percentage and less errors. I don't see how you don't give it to him. The golden glove shouldn't be a popularity contest.
  16. you're kidding yourself if you think we can beat dallas in the playoffs. this game was just like the first game except both defenses got a little better. we'd need a whole lot of breaks to beat dallas.
  17. ok, sorry- this wasn't about fassel v coughlin. it was about- ah shit i forget now. i want a new drug.
  18. Good Game, Egg. I shook the hands of every cowboy fan in the bar where i was watching. (don't worry, i washed thoroughly after) the cowboys are the class of the nfc and they outplayed us. they exploited our weaknesses and protected against our strengths. jason garrett is the new genius offensive coordinator. well played.
  19. i said our schedule was favorable in the first half and i said we haven't proven anything yet.. are you trying to have a discussion or just be an ass and dissect points. i've seen you do both and the latter is something i have no time for.
  20. exactly my point- let's wait and see before we crown him- he hasn't saved nothing yet. (double negative for effect)
  21. well, with that statement, yes.... according to him it is a mental thing... at least it was for his predecessor. and that's just the thing, there haven't been costly injuries yet, and the opponents we've beaten have been cake. when fassel had those 2 things going for him (healthy team and favorable sched) we went to the SB. we'll learn a lot in the next 2 weeks- hopefully, there really is a change. we have to beat someone better than us to make me a believer.
  22. "....I am also aware of the injury factor; the number of IR's and those kinds of things, which is a cancer let's face it. It is something that has to be corrected. It is a mental thing I believe as much as it is anything else."- Tom Coughlin (when he took over thew Giants from Fassel)
  23. based on coughlin's history, you're right to expect that.
  24. they can get ray from field of dreams to build it so they will come.
  25. you think that sucks- some bears fans must have bought up all the raider tix- now they have a sellout which means i have to travel to see Giants game.
