  1. the premise was how boomer played in NY, which was awful. some really bad teams that he didn't make any better. i guess that guy who refers to himself in the 3rd person is a closet jets fan. i don't blame him for keeping that secret.
  2. Happy Birthday, BTPF! Btw, you want to burn fans of Phil?
  3. cowboys look good- vulnerable though, especially in the secondary. giving up a lot of yards.
  4. i heard a rumor he's trying to drag mullie away from the warriors. not gonna happen.
  5. not really- usually the relatively healthy teams have better seasons. the injuries we've had the past few years (wiping out the entire LB crew, for instance) were pretty devastating. I do disagree with VG though and agree with you for the present. There are no devastating injuries on this team and we should be able to rise above the ones we have.
  6. good idea- i have been in a carlisimo locker room (seton hall) and i ate at a carlisimo owned restauant- what i can tell you is spree wasn't so wrong.
  7. not exactly a high bar to surpass. you're talking brown graham kannell maddox. sounds much better as a law firm than a QB legacy. with his faults, i feel better with eli in there than kerri.
  8. yea boomer can talk because he really shined in NY
  9. you're right, elway was arguably the best ever. i think what nesta is alluding to is that with most, it takes time for greatness to develop. while i don't expect eli to reach elway status, i also don't expect him to reach down to the depths of quincy carter. he's a QB we can win with when he's throwing accurately. now you should go prepare for getting your asses whupped by the Packers.
  10. if the screen is not there, there is not much else you can do but throw the ball to the ground. the whole offense is devised to execute the screen. as for their execution, i'm in favor of it.
  11. Strategy: Don't kick to Hester- just kick it out of bounds and defend from the 40- Oh, no long field goals either.
  12. yeah that forward fumble worked just like in practice. they made no mistakes and they capitalized on our many.
  13. If your QB is that much off his game, it's hard for anyone on offense to look good. This is the first game where we missed Mr. Barber a lot. There was no one on the field who could break a play.
  14. In the games I watch, Ben looks pretty good with either game. Not that it matters, Eli is the guy we're going with. Main thing he has to work on is accuracy. Also, when you let the play clock wind down under 2 seconds, defense is going to have a pretty good idea when the snap is coming. He's got to make his reads quicker or just go with the first play.
  15. How long has Darren Sharper been kicking our ass?
  16. What team was that today? We looked doomed from the get go. Maybe Seph is right. 8-8 is our destiny if we keep playing like that. Eli was pitiful and play calling was nauseating. Vikings played well- no mistakes. That all it takes to beat us?

  18. Torbor spelled backwards is robot almost.
  19. not a bad call. Halliday is an average fielder at best in the easiest position in baseball. and, Admiral is correct- lots of popups become hits in the Coors outfield. That said , I would not have argued if Halliday won.
