  1. yah, I know all this but it will still be a pathetic showing in front of a triple broadcasted national audience who think this game is important. another reason for boston to claim supremacy over new york. and i hate boston.
  2. you're right-i shouldn't say 'you guys' however: yards per rush- again explainable by there enormous leads. teams in the second half run draw plays that go for 10 or 12 yards on obvious passing situations. like you said, all that really matters is the W-L record. giants were 22nd in offense i think when they won last SB.
  3. What I find pathetic is not the individual act of selling your tickets, but the cumulative effect it will have on the crowd on Saturday. I've been to Raider and 49er games where the visiting fans are almost equal to the home crowd- it's pretty pathetic.
  4. by your logic, it would stand to reason then that their pass D would suffer as other teams abandon the run, yet they are 7th- as i said not too shabby. you guys can try to poke holes in this team but they are pretty freaking impressive.
  5. they are 10th in rush defense (giants are 11th),second in overall D, 1st in offense- not too shabby.
  6. i know the 49ers for sure. i was supposed to go to that game but my train hit a MNF staff bus (killed one crew member) and I never made it till 2nd half. and i guess buffalo was the 2nd.
  7. Anyone remember who beat us when we were 10-0 in 1990?
  8. don't forget the shotgun draw- by far our most productive play- eli is a master at the standing handoff.
  9. That's right! and no way will they get the points for a season record on us either- they need 5 points, get tough D! :bye:
  10. thank god someone gets my attempts at humor.
  11. i don't know if that's true. are you saying if Pitt had # 3 pick, they would have sold the ranch for Eli over Ben? i doubt it.
  12. It just so happens that this game may mean more to the Giants reputation than the wildcard game. I, for one would not blame Coughlin if anyone got hurt. I didn't blame Fassel when sehorn got hurt. (I did blame him for treating special teams like an adopted stepchild after that). i say go balls out for the first half- if the game starts getting away, don't push it. if you're in reach, go for it.
  13. Giants fans selling Pats tickets EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Some Giants fans would just as soon pick up a few dollars than watch in person as the New England Patriots try to complete a perfect season. They are selling their tickets to Patriots fans who want to see Tom Brady and his teammates go for a 16-0 record in the regular-season finale Saturday night at Giants Stadium. Internet auction sites that allow customers to buy and sell sports tickets have seen a surge in ticket sales for the game by Giants fans. "It looks like it's on pace to be one of our top 25 events for all time. It's definitely one of our hot sellers," Joellen Ferrer, a spokesman for Internet auction site StubHub, which specializes in tickets for events, told The Star-Ledger of Newark. "Although it's meaningless to the Giants, it's still going to be a great game to watch." If the Patriots win, they would become the first NFL team to go undefeated during the regular season since the Miami Dolphins finished the 1972 season at 14-0. In the first 24 hours after the Giants beat the Bills, more than 200 Giants ticket holders put their seats up for bid on the auction site, eBay. As of Monday, about 3,000 tickets were available for purchase on StubHub. Tickets on StubHub have gone for as much as $1,600 apiece, Ferrer said.
  14. Hey VG, I hope you don't think fans who criticize the Giants for their shortcomings (like myself) don't want to see them succeed in the playoffs and beyond.
  15. I'm amazed that this crap gets 180 views.
  16. that and a pint sized buffalo defense.

    NFL Network

I think by rule they have to broadcast the local game (if sold out) on a free station.
  18. What's all this talk about Bradshaw's ass?

    Bradshaw

Bradshaw is elusive, strong and looks like a play maker. I'd like to see him catch a screen pass, an option that's been missing from the Giants repertoire all season long.
  20. I think the Giants will be the biggest underdog in the playoffs on the vegas line. we'll see.
  21. Each year good, playoff caliber teams show a major weakness that, if left unchecked and unsolved, will eventually lead to their downfall. In 2002, it was our kicking game. In 2005, it was our lack of linebacker depth. Last year, it was the secondary. ------ This season, I think what will ultimately be our downfall is our failure to score in the red zone. We show a lack of originality in play calling and, it seems, no one is addressing this. It's a formula for disaster. I know I've been saying this all year but it doesn't change. So, it seems the best we can do is a combination of Droughns up the middle, and the dreaded fade pattern. This will be how our season ends, this will be this years Trey Junkins: Trailing by less than 7, with less than a minute, we will be stopped on 4th and goal from inside the 5.
