you're right, G The 3rd and 17 screen was a perfect example of that. It was set up perfectly (which you have to wonder why the Cowboys would not expect a screen there) but Jacobs was a step slow getting started and got caught from behind. Bradshaw would have run forever. And May I say, eggdog, this is a ridiculous thread to post on a Giants fan board.

yea well we all know the value of eggdog's critiques lately. that said, i can't think of 10 QB's I would take over romo, can you? i put little stake in critiques of a QB who 'can't win the big game' because they are all big games. he showed enough clutch performance during the season to sell me. and randoff, this has nothing to do with eli- he's climbed the mountain.

i'm happy too and i see your point, but hype and media aside, the reality is they were wise to lock him up and he's a good QB.

i still think romo's a good QB and considering there's only about 20 decent ones in the league, they were wise to lock him up long term. he wasn't the reason they lost the game although he did fluster a bit in the end.

In McQuarter's defense, although I agree he runs hot and cold, he played that punt right, it sailed past the 10. It just stopped on a dime.

lots of mental errors and penalties- i think parcells may have reigned them in a bit more. he definitely would have done something about that awful center.
