strikeouts, while chicks may dig them, are overrated. i would not discount sinker ball pitchers. they throw less pitches and are able to get out of trouble. also, they tend to be around at the end of games and at the end of seasons. i would love to see lincecum ilower his pitch count and throw less strikeouts.

i think the philosophy has been 'we'll train the DLinemen, let some other team train the LB's and we'll pick them up as free agents. sometimes successful, (like last year)- sometimes not so successful. we haven't had a home grown LB starter for a while (besides Kiwi, who gets an asterik).

This should end the Kiwanuka at LB experiment. I don't think you can keep yo-yo-ing the kid back and forth and expect him to play at his best.
