  3. This one wasn't on him, actually. He claims he was misdiagnosed on an injury last year (he has a good argument- thats what it all stems from.

  8. so why even look in this section?
  9. i don't blame you- in your timewatching baseball, martinez was a little more dominant and much more in the public eye. johnson always shunned attention plus he played for mostly small market franchises. but 50 years from now you'll talk about a scary and dominating 6'10 lefty who scared the crap out of lefty hitters with 100 mile heat and a killer slider and once killed a bird! He's a Bunyanesque figure.
  10. depends where you live- my world is a kaleidoscope of color.
  11. and yet you are using numbers to substantiate your claim. eventually, cream rises to the top. simple truth is the best offensive coordinator in the league is in San Diego- unfortunately his current job is head coach where he is mediocre at best.
  12. I know he's not really a Giant but whatever uni he has on, the guy can plain out deal. Plus, we'll not likely see another 300 game winner- at least not for the next decade. Hats off to Randy Johnson.
  13. I heard he was released yesterday.
  14. managers should refer to him as 4 fingers. don't know why he doesn't walk more.
  15. joaquin andujar used to hit 2 in the first inning just to let you know he was there. the AL west does throw inside more than any other division. especially the angels and the rangers.
  16. well we are much loved in the DR especially by weak hitting infielders who swing at slop and make bad pitchers look like koufax.
  17. I met Leonard Marshall at Le Bar Bat on 57th st. circa 1993. He was wearing a white suit and had a blonde at his side' just hanging out. Gracious guy, still wouldn't have wanted to be tackled by him.
  18. Most of the A's beat writers share your sentiment.
