  1. well i got to see the replay (thank you, jranieli ) and i must say that nicks has hoover sized hands. looks like he's going to be able to haul in anything that comes his way. if the giants don't get a star receiver, they are going to need eli to really step up his game IRT accuracy and touch. if he does and if their OL and DL is as advertised, they may just be able to win this thing.
  2. That'll work as well as closer by committee.
  3. Maybe Tish flew in to catch the Rockies-Mets series.
  4. then just go with that- you don't need to be putting down pure baseball to make yourself feel better if you're confident your team is the best. freakin yankee fans, sheesh
  5. I feel the same way about the AL product. bunch of prim donnas who have to posture and model between each pitch causing the games to be 4 hours long. sounds to me like you're building up your excuses for when the mighty Yanks get crushed by one of those little league teams in the WS.
  6. yeah, so? who's going to argue that. it's an obvious statement but who cares?
  7. that link doesn't work, bigblue01
  8. he was pretty good for the dodgers, on the DL a lot i think- i don't know what happened.since he gave up ~ 43 hits to the Yankees 2 weeks ago- i guess the time off did him good.
  9. does that mean they all talk at once and its impossible to hear clearly?
  10. smoltz? no, he's playing for st. loo btw, penny got us a win tonite- 8 innings of shut out ball v the world champs. let's go mets!!!
  11. too many times- but lefty power pinch hitter at ATT is not realistic except for one guy. and that guy would bring a circus.
  12. 3. Eli Manning, New York Giants Analysis: Proven winner who has become a great big-game quarterback … cerebral player … has huge responsibilities at the line of scrimmage, allowing the Giants to be very multiple on offense, paying huge dividends in the run game (almost every run they have is some sort of box-count run or is conditional on safety alignment or defensive spacing, with Manning getting the Giants into better running plays) … still shows inconsistency as a passer. Accurate assessment.
  13. good pick, considering the division.
  14. they need a 5th starter for s handful of games. He's better option than a AAA call up. Besides, pitchers get better when they go to the NL. Look at Smoltz.
  15. They've said he won't play the field, just pinch hit. I think their plans would be to keep him off the NL playoffs roster and then add him to the WS. Hopefully, the Giants would have a say in spoiling that plan.
  16. anderson is far from unproven and is young enough to still be a franchise QB- he's a whole lot better than orton. unfortunatelyfor him, quinn is the chosen one. and you can't have marshall and edwards on the same team. financially and emotionally it can't be done.
  17. if the browns want to unload anderson and replace edwards, they would need 2 players in return. all denver has that they want is marshall-and apparently all denver wants is anderson. so there needs to be a 3rd team to take edwards and allow the browns to get fair value. that's why i'm assuming the giants would be involved.
  18. just stay in shape, AT. you'll get a call some time soon.
  19. He's starting tomorrow. And the Dodgers pick up Thome but he can't play a position. Guess they're thinking World Series DH.....
