  1. i don't think he wears those yet. Are you referring to Ty Law? He's their nickel corner.
  2. Not a good sign that they got Ty Law from the old age home. They thought him better than this guy.
  3. he's a good example of the inconsistency in the NFC East. That's why the Giants still have a chance.
  4. Actually Ried is getting same amount of crap after some questionable decisions vs. the cowboys. http://www.philly.com/inquirer/breaking/sports_breaking/20091109_Phil_Sheridan__McNabb_still_gets_nod_over_Romo.html
  5. could be- i think the lack of a deep threat is bringing more defenders to the line and daring the giants to throw. this offense was built around the deep ball and power running.
  6. we had gained 10 yards back with the run. i think a play action would've gotten us in. don't you think peyton or brady or ben would've been given the chance to get the ball in the end zone? we were playing not to lose and when you do that, you lose. the blame rests squarely on coughlin. and if eli had balls, he would've thrown some chairs in coughlin's office and said "you paid me, now let me work."
  7. i agree- i think we would have scored. they were on their heels. plus if you remember the super bowl, both peyton and eli said they'd rather be down by 4 than 3 with 2 minutes left because you know what you need.
  8. have fun hoping your a-rod blow up doll comes to life.
  9. not sure i understand the point you're making. halladay was not a free agent and cashman is smart enough to know the price was too high (in players) to go after that. not everyone can pay the price and still turn a profit. yankees spend oodles and still make oodles. they don't break any rules, but there oughta be. problem is the union is so strong that there will never be. thank goodness the game of baseball is so pure that it will survive even this. in any other sport, if one team had such an advantage, it would win hands down, every year.
  10. do you really think that grabbing the top 3 free agents, (all instrumental to the season and post season) is all that wise? i mean any gm in the league would say get me those guys and we got a chance, no? it just so happened that those were the pieces they were missing so they went and got them- at 500mill and no one else could do that.
  11. Thank you for the intelligent rationale. it's a welcome change. I think 2 things can equally be true. George, Boras and Marvin miller have conspired to ruin baseball. it's also comforting to know that even when they grab the best players, the yankees don't win every year. i know that and i congratulate the yankees on their win. their hitters are so beyond any other lineup in skill level and they are a joy to watch (and annoying as hell) anyone who is a fan of baseball should be thrilled to watch those guys. some guys here took the offensive and posted inaccuracies that i tried to correct, the rest was all posturing and jibber jab.
  12. i still think we're missing a deep threat WR. defenses are willing to chance giving up a TD after a 10 minute drive. so they play us tight and if everything goes right, eli and steve smith hook up for a surgical drive. but most of the time, we stall. it's something we're missing that has a domino effect.
  13. maybe everyone uses that line with you because you really have nothing to say. cheer up, at least you got the yankees.
  14. admit it, last time you had a hard on, you thought it was a tumor. if this guy knew anything about baseball, he'd pick on the giants hitting which sucks- not the pitching which is far superior to the yankees at a fraction of the cost. . at least hugh gives intelligent arguments. if you have anything intelligent to say, wake me up.
  15. that's right, they've blown it- with that payroll, should be a lock every year. and last year they got bitch slapped all season by tampa bay. embarrassing. sounds like you got a hard on for zito, why don't you twitter him?
  16. I'm not bitter, intentional groundout. And getting over mistakes like Zito are a lot easier when you have unlimited funds and can rip a city off to build your new stadium. The payroll issue is a big concern and it's ruining baseball. I've said it even in the years when the Yanks have blown it.
  17. not questioning your consistency just your target in this case.
  18. this year we already made it- it's jan 2010 that's in question.
  19. they got close with what they were running. plus they were taking time off the clock and forcing SD to use timeouts. i think a play action on 4th down would've made it. i had no problem with that series except the hold and the kick which was on cough.
  20. taylor mays is roy williams reincarnated. big hitter, can't cover. you don't want him, hugh. 5-11 will get you the traffic report though.
