  1. I hope you guys are right about Nicks- we sure had no deep threat this past year. Btw, socal- Moss is a free agent, I think.
  2. Hmmm maybe we should put Andre Ware up there.
  3. nicks is neither tall enough or fast enough to be "the guy" that Eli is used to and the offense was built around. He's a housmenzadah or toomer type. they flourish when they are #2. i do hope bardens is that guy but this ain't Cal Poly so he needs to have learned a great deal.
  4. love the guy. i like all the giants receivers not named moss- but we could use a guy who gets double covered all game and prevents the 8 in a box D
  5. I would still like to see someone who can stretch the field like Brandon Marshall or Vincent Jackson. I know Marshall's a head case but it opens up so many options on Offense. And, let's face it, we're going to need a lot of offense the next couple of years. We've been a sub .500 team since idiot shot himself.
  6. That's Granderson in Dittoese.
  7. cowboys are going after peppers and you don't want mcgrady unless it involves losing some big contracts like jared jeffries.
  8. guess no one knows. now i'll have to look it up: During the Final League Year, the eight clubs that make the Divisional Playoffs in the previous season have additional restrictions that limit their ability to sign unrestricted free agents from other clubs. In general, the four clubs participating in the championship games are limited in the number of free agents that they may sign; the limit is determined by the number of their own free agents signing with other clubs. They cannot sign any UFAs unless one of theirs is signed by another team. For the four clubs that lost in the Divisional Playoffs, in addition to having the ability to sign free agents based on the number of their own free agents signing with other clubs, they may also sign players based on specific financial parameters. Those four only will be permitted to sign one unrestricted free agent for $5.5 million (estimated) or more in year one of the contract, plus the number of their UFAs who sign with another team. They also can sign any unrestricted free agents for less than $3.7 (estimated) million in year one of the contract with limitations on the per year increases. In the case of all final eight teams, the first year salary of UFAs they sign to replace those lost cannot exceed the first year salary of the player lost with limitations on the per year increases.
  9. o why not simply aspire to play for the Dallas Cowboys? Even though they fall within the scope of the Final Eight Plan, the Cowboys will be permitted to sign one big-money unrestricted free agent, as long as the first-year salary is roughly $5.5 million or more. what is he talking about?
  10. i won't give credence to any cut list that does not include Sinorice Moss.
  11. little premature for this, jack. let's give them a chance to make moves.
  12. wonder who they have in mind to replace him?
  13. Bud Selig to be honored with statue Comment Email Print ShareAssociated Press MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers are erecting a statue of baseball commissioner Bud Selig outside Miller Park and will unveil it on Aug. 24. Selig Selig headed a group that bought the Seattle Pilots in bankruptcy court in 1970, moved the franchise to Milwaukee and renamed it the Brewers. He became acting commissioner in 1992 and took the job full-time six years later, turning control of the team over to his daughter, Wendy Selig-Prieb. The Selig family sold the team to a group headed by Mark Attanasio in 2005. "The Brewers and Miller Park are in this city because of the commissioner's vision and dedicated efforts," Attanasio said Monday. Selig's foundation donated statues of Hank Aaron and Robin Yount that were unveiled when Miller Park opened in 2001. Selig's statue, which will be more than 7 feet tall, will be built by the same designer, Brian Maughan. ----- I say it should be a big syringe with a blindfold.
  14. you must've been asleep. they got plenty.
  15. my guess would be jeremy shockey
  16. jack reads real newsprint, nummies.
  17. no, but it's a credit to eli that he did this well with not even a hint of a deep threat.
  18. no doubt someone like him would've helped. especially in '08 playoffs. steve smith is not the same type of receiver.
  19. more like the dolphins for taking culpepper over him. chargers have a very good qb.
  20. that was an awesome game, rik. can't think of any better myself. even had the best anthem.
