  1. proof that anything's possible.
  2. it's as likely as the government blowing up buildings on purpose.
  3. even though it's an honorary degree, i will call you doctor.
  4. i didn't know we were arguing and i didn't know there was a winner or loser. just 2 different opinions. and when someone says "the jets didn't have anyone good" i usually take them at their word. i don't know you well enough to know that that means "they didn't have anyone else good" and when i say "stats" i mean that some folks don't realize that everything is related in football. so it may look like your running game is deteriorating when it's really your passing game and so on and so forth. btw, where did you get your sports argument psychology degree?
  5. you said jets didn't have anybody good before edwards. and as far as the other stuff, i'm not going to repeat myself except to say i don't care if marshall catches any balls or blocks anyone as long as he's considered a threat and draws the coverage. you're too hung up on stats.
  6. i haven't seen him in a while- did he pack on 150 pounds?
  7. Cochery is at least as good as any Giants receiver with Eli throwing to him. You'll see this year. (Damn I gave away a FFL sleeper) it would be a tremendous upgrade for the whole offensel, IMO.
  8. she BOUGHT A CHAMPIONSHIP set of tata's
  9. i know what they're saying- I speak the language.
  10. Nice video fish. wow, he had great games against the jets and new england. when did we play them?
  11. Because chicks dig the long ball and DC's fear the long pass. If you don't have a guy that can get behind the Defense, you don't have their attention. YPC doesn't matter as long as it doesn't end in 6pts.. Braylon Edwards, who was by no means stellar, opened up the field just enough for the Jet's running game to prosper and also for Cochery to have some open lanes which resulted in big catches. Look I know it's not going to happen but you're not going to change my mind that it should.
  12. oh yeah? name a giants safety who has a 15 yard penalty named after him?
  13. lol, you need to defragment and re-sort your data, tree. btw, i flew on that airline, it was brilliant!
  14. i think you're talking about Braylon.
  15. If you mean the RB's are skeptical about the WR's, I don't blame them Look, I've told you. A big WR stretches the field and opens up all other facets of the game. The RB's were less effective because of the numbers on defense. ditto the OL- i don't think we have anyone (yet) capable of drawing double coverage. And I think the NFL is going thru a phase where a great offense and a serviceable defense wins.
  16. because our greatest asset right now is Elisha Nelson Manning. we have to put the people around him that maximize his talent. It's like having Barry Bonds and not surrounding him with hitters who can get on base in front of him.
  17. no idea what that means. i know this-that the offense was built on the big play- and if it's not BM, someone needs to do it. the defense won't be strong enough in 1 year to stop the likes of Minn, Dallas, Phi, NO. C'mon Jerr
  18. Besides Eli (who cost more than a #1, is there anyone on this list that's better than brandon marshall? 2000Ron DayneRBWisconsin2001Will AllenCBSyracuse2002Jeremy ShockeyTEMiami2003William JosephDTMiami2004Phillip Rivers (traded to San Diego on draft day for ELI MANNING, QB, Mississippi -in a deal that also involved draft picks.)QBNC State2005Corey Webster (2nd Round)CBLSU2006Mathias KiwanukaDEBoston College2007Aaron RossCBTexas2008Kenny PhillipsSMiami2009Hakeem Nicks
  19. defense won't be fixed this year, blue in ca- we still need to score a lot. and stats are misleading- first of all we got in by the skin of our teeth in 2007 so don't point to that as a benchmark formula. secondly, how many of those TD's last year were against good teams in meaningful games?
  20. oh, i thought we were talking about winning. no defensive coordinator loses sleep worrying about how to stop any of the giants skill players. it's a credit to eli that he's done so much with so little. he deserves better. he deserves a deep threat. easy peesey let's do this reesey
  21. For many years the Giants had adequate (at best) receivers. Mostly to match our barely adequate QB's. Toomer was a big upgrade over status quo. Then, Burress came along and I saw how having that stud guy opens up the whole offense even if he doesn't catch a pass. If we put Marshall out there, it will instantly make the OL better, the running game better, and the QB better. Manning would win MVP. The Defense will take a while to fix and this is an offensive league right now. This is a move that will pay off immediately.
  22. you can if your offense scores 40!
  23. I'd do it in a heart beat. No way you're guaranteed that kind of talent in the draft. And he's only 25. Seattle will give the #14 maybe. We can throw in our #15 and sweeten the pot. Do it, Reesey!
