  1. i thought you were touting the TE's as dominant? i thought you brought up the giants of 1986 to back up your TE argument. I must've been seeing things. too much wine today.
  2. problem is '86 was a long time ago. RB's were dominant then too. problem is the 2 teams without GM's Dallas and oakland- are stuck with what worked in the past while other teams are innovative. i feel for you Z. at least the rangers are good.
  3. you need to know that no one here cares to add members so the ghost town remarks remain lame. i'm not sensitive to any good smack but yours is not. go to BBI if you want a good place to flame.
  4. A tree of reason in the forest of morons.
  5. you waited a month and this is your material? pretty weak.
  6. in an era when tight ends are mostly insignificant. yawn.
  7. ]hey we only have a 3:2 member to mods ratio. they're dong the best they can.
  8. genius! You go with that. Witten is just a sound byte with gloves.
  9. Stick with your baseball team, they have a plan.
  10. I was down on Osi before last season because he was flapping his gums too much. Once he put his helmet on, he did really well. Great season. Don't know what you guys have against him.
  11. i recall he used to be tall and able to screen with his body. i don't think he needs to run past anyone . that's for their other receivers.
  12. I think he'd be a threat in Philly. It's the one piece they are missing on offense. The big Target (and by target I am not referring to his left thigh).
  13. you simplify it a lot. that play was set up by a few other plays during the game. leaving plax in single coverage doesn't just happen. and, the prowess of plax puts a great deal of stress on the defender. they made it look simple, yes. but all the great ones do.
  14. This is sad. I can still see him holding court at Val's Luncheonette in the morning. Sitting there with Katcavage and Grier, Swain and Crespino. Always had time for the kids. RIP Mr. Robustelli
  15. I stopped at Chad Henne. Can we get more obvious?
  16. if someone were coming towards your neck with a knife, you would leap?
  17. what is your buddy's vertical leaping ability?
  18. his wife knifed him- like that hasn't happened to any of us.
  19. C'mon Blue- it was 4 years ago. Almost 5 when the season starts (if) Let's move forward.... with acquiring Brandon Marshall.
  20. i've seen another side of him, T. One that supports this behavior. Alas, that was many moons ago. And the end result of this, regardless of purpose, is good.
  21. "For those guys I'll always be their captain," Carson said this week. "Ironically, I have a book coming out in August, and the title is, "Captain for Life." It is not something that I gave to myself, but Phil McConkey and Jim Burt sort of tagged me with that years ago. They said, ‘You will always be our captain for life.' And so I still feel like, especially after the Hall of Fame (Carson was inducted in 2006) and all of the situations that occur with players who might be having some issues that some people are not looking to address, I have been advocating on behalf of these players to get better benefits. And so in essence, I'm sort of a quasi-captain for them."
  22. my mom used to vacuum during the game when she was pissed at my dad. and we're talking the old days when it caused noise and snow.
