I agree that he hasn't shown much except he's a good manager and doesn't turn over the ball. In fairness, he did not have receivers to stretch the field. He also kicked our ass in November and was equal to Eli on that day. I would say he has options if you look at teams with really piss poor QB's who don't have high draft picks. Whoever loses the Manning bowl, for instance.
They have Delaney Walker. Don't see them taking a TE but if they know the Giants want him, they might. Keep it on the dl. They also drafted a QB high last year. Kapsomething.
He doesn't really need great receivers. He made Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison better. Like Eli, he'd rather have guys that run their routes and catch the ball than "me-me" superstars.
i don't bitch about him. He was a 3rd round pick(?) from a very small school (football wise) with height. He was worth the pick. But was a project and will fight for a roster spot next year and probably lose.
New Orleans will have trouble signing all of their free agent receivers. Love a guy like Meacham. Even Ted Ginn Jr is a viable option and can put some sizzle in the return game to boot.
Torres was a spitfire in '10 but fell apart in '11. He has pretty severe ADD and it's been an issue for him throughout his career.
He will definitely lead the ball club in "Hello, how are you's" as he's the friendliest guy in the league.
As fars as Eli goes, his record is incomplete. I would say that he is on the highway to Canton based on comparable situations.
For people like Warner to comment on it at this point, especially with a stake, shows insecurity and manipulation.
agreed on cris carter. i also think Deion is smart and entertaining. the whole CBS pre-game team is fairly unwatchable and unlistenable- and FOX is not much better.
