  1. For what it's worth, I prefer beating the 49ers to the Packers. Hope you beat them Sunday.
  2. Yeah CC has to pitch better than that. Especially with all the injuries, pitching needs to come up big for them. The weakness is exposed.
  3. I think he'll retire before they axe him.
  4. Not anywhere that has access to game video.
  5. The knee jerk reactions are good for a goof after the game. Not for eternity.

I'm glad they got rid of Molden, just don't like the name.
  7. Th whole league is pass happy. The Giants are no different. Giants are going to win most games on Eli's arm. It's clear that protection is the focus. Run blocking second on the OL. I don't know if it's a stated strategy, but it's apparent.
  8. you missed the point. let me jack it down for you. every team got to send one player to the pro bowl. for the giants of that era, it was usually the punter. because they sucked. tucker got sent more because he was a well known figure than his talent.
  9. because even the punter, who usually got to represent the giants in the pro bowl, sucked that year.
  10. Who disparaged him? I differed with the term " very serviceable." Ernie Koy, Chuck Mercein were serviceable. Tucker was a bust at #1.
  11. Beg to differ. Firstly, they picked him over GALE SAYERS!!! He eked out one decent season on gimpy knees.
  12. I think Alexander's was still there when I worked there. My store was Shoe Town and that was the outlet and regional warehouse. I think it was called Shoe Giant as to not confuse it with the other stores such as New Hyde Park (same road, 3 miles and worlds away). I loved all the women and the food choices down there. It was right before I was transferred to Cali. I think the fact that I accepted the 6 months in the Jamaica basement got me the role in Cali.
  13. the thrill of catching lightning in a bottle is overwhelming. especially if one has speed or size. why barden got a job in the first place.
  14. 158th and Gerard is my roots. My first retail management position was in Jamaica, right under the El stop. Not a bad place. I was mostly in the basement but we'd come up to chase down shoplifters once or twice a day. Our thundering hooves on the metal stairs was usually enough to make them drop and run.
  15. or even a regular punt, agreed.
