  1. Right, good point. I mean it want considered that he would be the heir to the throne when he was drafted. I think you should draft a QB every year. Btw, I love Eli but the NF l is changing. A lot of these lineman coming out of college are used to blocking for a QB who can avoid a tackle or 2.
  2. 49ers didn't need kaepernik Atlanta didn't need Brett Favre Green Bay didn't need Aaron Rodgers New England didn't need Brady
  3. Pass on Gayle Sayers for Tucker Frederickson. Worst
  4. When the Cowboys and 49ers conspire, I do think it's to fuck the Giants. Perhaps they thought we wanted Reid, perhaps we did. I remember one time the Cowboys traded with the 49ers to sweep a receiver from us, Mike Sherrard from UCLA, who ended up breaking his leg a few times and finishing a lackluster career with the Giants, ironically.
  5. The coach who used to scare the crap out of me was Ray Perkins. Man could stare a hole in your skull.
  6. Brown had that rare ability to make every one around him worse.
  7. Considering that he put a gun to someone's head and they called it a misdemeanor, I'd say it's the latter.
  8. Lol. Didn't Cedric Jones get thumbed in the eye during training camp?
  9. That's the difference. I think most knew Dayne was average at best.
  10. Of all of them, I think Dayne made me the angriest. Because most everyone knew he sucked or at the very least, hadn't been tested.
  11. and RIP your Dad. Mine's been gone for 13 years now and the sports connections still loom large.
  12. "Pat was my broadcasting partner for a long time, but more than that he was my friend for all of these years. We never had one argument, and that was because of Pat. He was a great broadcaster and a great man. He always had a joke. Pat never complained and we never had an unhappy moment. He was something very special. Pat Summerall is the voice of football and always will be." — John Madden ___ "Pat Summerall was one of the best friends and greatest contributors that the NFL has known. He spent 50 years as part of our league, first as a player on the legendary New York Giants teams of the late '50s and early '60s and then as a Hall of Fame broadcaster for CBS and FOX. His majestic voice was treasured by millions of NFL fans for more than four decades. Pat always represented the essence of class and friendship. It is a sad day in the NFL." — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell "Pat will always be a great Giant. He was one of my father's favorites, and his game-winning kick in the snow against the Browns in 1958 is one of the most memorable plays in our franchise's history. And Pat was a true gentleman and the voice of the NFL for generations of fans." — Giants president and CEO John Mara ___

  15. I don't know who you are but if you think Zito is about the fastball speed, you don't know much.
  16. Yup, and all of his issues are from the neck up. No arm problems ever.
  17. Who knows? The hottest pitcher in baseball for the last 8 months is Barry Zito.
