  1. My halftime synopsis: Shane Limeaux looks good. O-line overall has turned it up. Daniel Jones is not great, but not terrible when he has protection. James Bradberry deserves a billion dollars. Wayne Gallman is a good backup. D-line can't rush the passer.
  2. He never shows up when he runs his mouth. Remember when we were 4-6 and he predicted a "bloodbath?" Dude had a half-tackle that game.
  3. 35-0 Bucs. I'm asleep by halftime.
  4. If we shut the whole team down, it might be the best thing that happens to our record. Only six losses this season!
  5. Were these the same people saying that the Giants front office were racists for passing on Dwayne Haskins, even though they had an African-American GM that ran the team into the ground for a decade? Those really smart guys on TV that pay a lot of attention to what's going on?
  6. Yeah he and Ryan Clark are the only two that I can think of off the top of my head. Everybody cries when the Marvin Fucking Austins and Markus Kuhns go on to another team but those guys are usually cut in their new team's training camp.
  7. Well yeah, when the guy is getting you into A-list Hollywood parties you don't wanna turn around and say he's a dick.
  8. Honestly most of us called this. Getting rid of him was the right move. Also Darius Slayton will have more receiving yards this season.
  9. Yeah and kept looking around too. Somebody tell that guy about the jumbotron...
  10. The ironic thing is seven or eight years ago, after we lost to the sad-sack Kapernick 49ers, I knew it was time to blow it up with a new coach and GM, and everyone said I was nuts. "Where has that ever worked! Blah blah blah!" My reply was, "I dunno... everywhere?" If you have sustained success you can get away with keeping either a coach or GM because you're successful, but yeah... I don't get the "we have to keep continuity" thing. "Continuity" for what... so that you can continue to sustain 4-12 seasons?
  11. Yep. The division sucks. And we're arguably the worst team in a historically bad division.
  12. C'mon Lugghead. We have a hard enough time winning as it is.
  13. Jones had 5 300-yard games last year. Definitely better than this year, but it not like he was winging it all over the field... and a lot of that was Engram, Slayton, or Saquan taking a 10 yard in route to the house. His per-game average is down by about 50/game. Those guys just aren't playing as well this year, the O-line is somehow worse (though this last game was ok), and Jones is being exposed as a guy who is slow in his reads. Shurmur might be a better OC than Garrett but honestly the latter has a lot less to work with.
  14. Tell me about it. Can one of you guys call Mara and tell him I work cheap?
  15. Fuck, I thought this was Golden Taint.
  16. If it makes you feel better, Thomas is grading out at a 58.6 and Ereck Flowers was a 36.6 at this point in his career. Small victories, right?
  17. My son went to bed when we were up by ten. This morning I said, "on third down to keep a winning drive alive, somebody dropped a pass." "Evan Engram?" "Yes! Even Engram. What do you think Philly did on the next series?" "Drove right down the field and scored a TD after some dumb Giants penalties?" "Correct! But the Giants had a chance to win if they got into field goal range. What happened? "Daniel Jones turned the ball over?" Seriously, even a 13 year old kid can predict what's going to happen with this team.
  18. I think the coaching staff is the right staff, so there's that. In the offseason, we just need a few things: 1. An NFL-caliber guard or tackle (or both) 2. a #1 WR 3. A pass rusher Honestly, picking those up won't be impossible. That will take us from the basement to being at least competitive, which I'd be happy with right now. The draft is stocked with WRs and free agency has a ton of good O-linemen available.
  19. Nope. Shurmur the Murmur had two years to produce, didn't do it. Didn't inspire, won 8 games in two years. Getting rid of him was the right call. Coaching is honestly the least of my worries right now. I think overall the Giants are a pretty well-coached team. Personnel is the problem. The offensive line is improving, but really four out of five of those guys should be backups. Thomas flat-out looks bad. Daniel Jones is not the answer. I like his legs, but he takes way too long to go through his reads (on TV at least... could also be no WRs are getting open). He's had like a dozen times to win games in the last two minutes these past two years and will consistently turn the ball over instead of come through in the clutch. Losers lose. Evan Engram flat-out sucks. Levine Toilolo can't fucking block. I have no idea what they're supposed to be bringing to the table. WR corps is looking better but we have a bunch of #2 guys on this team with no #1. D-line is good but again, very little pass rush. LBs are an improving unit, but no one guy that scares you there. I think Martinez is better than advertised. We have Bradbury in the backfield, Ryan is serviceable and literally no one else. Special teams are awesome for once... they're a well-coached unit for sure, but you have dummies like Cameron Phlegming and Corey Ballantine not paying attention and fucking things up for the rest of the team. This roster is bad. That's on Getty.
