  1. Yeah, and WRs not getting open. Does not excuse the fumbles though.
  2. Yeah I thought this might be a "step back" game.
  3. This is not encouraging for Jones' future, that's for sure.
  4. Reports saying the Giants offense was walking a bit funny out of the tunnel, possibly due to all the new assholes Judge tore them.
  5. Hey! We almost made it to midfield that drive!
  6. Daniel Jones will turn the ball over this drive.
  7. He looks really good. Nice pick and a good kid too.
  8. The fumble sure was. Protect the ball... Eli would take the sack and not give up a turnover there.
  9. I hear ya UK. For about two years I had a Thursday night DJ gig from 9PM to midnight. After the first three months or so it was really hard to bounce back... I'd get to sleep around 130, wake up at 6 AM for work, but be tired all day Friday... then all day Saturday... and finally by mid-day Sunday I'd start feeling better, just in time for work on Monday. I gave up that gig last November and it's really improved my mood and overall health. Couldn't help but feel I was shaving years and quality off my life to make a quick and easy buck.
  10. He's clearly having fun going over Giants film.
  11. I guess I'm just an old fart but I can't stand the Colin Coherds and Steven A. Smiths of the world. I'm a grown-assed man who can make his own decisions about what I'm looking at; I don't need a "hot take" spewed at me from some dumbass with a microphone.
  12. Alex Smith is the best QB on that team.
  13. The jury is still out on Gettleman, but I always liked his vision... stop the run, run the ball, win in the trenches. I just had a LOT of questions about his talent evaluation. A few things will decide his legacy 1. The Beckham trade. Right now, I don't think there's many people who would want Vernon and Beckham over Peppers, Ximines, Zeitler, and Dex Lawrence. Pretty clear win for Gettleman. 2. Daniel Jones. He had three games with no turnovers (four if you count this week!) but the jury is still out on him. Lets see how the rest of the year goes, and then next year if he remains the starter. He has looked good recently but arguably looked better last year. 3. The Leonard Williams trade. Again, looks good now. I have a feeling if he ends up on a long-term deal with us most of Giants nation will be pretty happy with this in hindsight, so long as the deal isn't completely absurd. I had really wanted Josh Jones with that third which brings us to... 4. Rebuilding the O-line. Promising right now but again a small sample size. Lets not forget this was the same line that six weeks ago was worse than last year's line. However, Thomas, Lemieux, Gates, Zeitler, and Peart have all looked pretty good in recent weeks, borderline dominant (Peart in particular has made me forget about Jones). Even Hernandez has looked good. 5. The Joe Judge hire. Early, but sure looks like good one right now. You could argue Barkley belongs in this discussion as well. Lets see how the rest of the season plays out. If you asked me today, I think Getty deserves another year.
  14. This team is not as good as I thought they'd be at this point in the season. They're better. I'm impressed by what the coaching staff is doing, but honesty I'm more impressed by who they're doing it with. I mean... Isaac Yiadom? Jabaal Sheard? Austin Johnson? Who the fuck are those guys? Carter Coughlin and Tae Crowder were all over the field today and they were late-round rookies. Nick Gates and Wayne Limeaux were opening up holes today you could drive a truck through, and fucking Alfred Morris and Wayne Gallman were in the driver's seat? Seriously? And the "big name" signings are playing out of their minds. Leonard Williams, Blake Martinez, and James Bradbury are playing the best football of their careers. I thought Jabril Peppers was never going to put it all together but he's played like a top-5 safety these past four weeks or so. Logan Ryan isn't far behind. If we can keep this coaching staff in place... and especially when it comes to Graham, that might be a big "if..." what will the team look like with a deep speed WR and Saquon Barkley in the backfield? Gotta admit, I haven't been this excited about Giants football since the early Coughlin years. It's a good fucking feeling. Go Giants!
  15. Fucking awesome. Did not expect this win, looks like our Giants may actually be legit.
  16. I missed the first quarter, but this offense has been run, run, 2 yard pass this quarter.
  17. This game is over if Garret doesn't start calling a better offense.
  18. We've won 3 games in a row, and now have something to play for this season. If your team has nothing to play for, you want them to be in the best position for next season, which is a lower-seeded record and a higher draft pick. You can want your team to show improvement and also want them to be positioned better for next season.
  19. Seriously. We need this guy on the team next year.
  20. Something that I didn't think about if the team is really sour on Solder is that maybe you can trade him for WR help. Solder for Brandin Cooks might not be a bad swap, and I think Cooks counts nothing against the cap if you cut him after 2021.
  21. That's one of the reasons I think Tomlinson walks instead of Williams. Williams can also play the run well, but can give you more pass rush, and there's the whole "sunk cost" thing with him as well. I really wish we could keep both; Tomlinson is a hell of a player.
  22. Solder is going to stick around next year whether we want him to or not. He has a 16 million cap hit but still carries a 13 million hit if we cut or trade him. In 2022 that goes down to 6 million on a 20 million cap hit so that would likely be the season we let him go. We already picked up Engram's 5th year option so I think we're stuck with him too.
