  1. I think you might be mixing up Smith and Waddle but yeah, I'm on board with this sentiment. The only thing I don't like about Smith is his build, but if he gets to the combine with an extra 15lbs of muscle without losing speed I'd be all for drafting him as well. Watching film of him the guy seems to do everything, but I'm worried at 175 lbs he's going to get killed across the middle in the NFL. In round 2 I like Terrace Marshall as a big-bodied guy that can make the contested catch, or Marquez Stevenson if you want an Odell-lite. Both of those guys have really great body control. Tamorrion Terry needs work on the jump ball but I like his size and speed as well.
  2. I'd really love if we signed a #1 WR in free agency, then drafted another guy in the first. Having two threats in the WR corps I think is really the missing piece on offense now, along with Barkley (and assuming the O-line is November-December's version and not whatever the fuck that was last week). If Ja'Marr Chase is somehow available you have to take that guy. Watching him play, it's like somebody put Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz in a blender. I really like that Waddle kid too; he's a "take a 6-yard slant to the house" kinda guy.
  3. Yeah it sucks, but honesty the playoffs were kind of a pipe dream, albeit a really fun one. We're a year away from truly being competitive still. If we beat Dallas for the season finale the team will have done everything I had wanted this season. I really can't complain. And if somehow we win, even better.
  4. He's hoping they have a mental breakdown and start punching people by the second half.
  5. He's a name that I keep seeing as a "draft riser" and a lot of people are projecting him to be drafted before Fields. When I watch his highlights though, it's all one-read stuff from a clean pocket and runs. Does appear to have a nice arm though. I think if Getty is gone than QB is back on the table, especially if Judge wants another guy.
  6. I pretty much agree with all of this, except for Shurmur changing his scheme to fit his players' stengths. Engram had some ok years but that was mostly because he would take a 5-yard in-route to the house; guy was built for the seam but everything he ran was 3-8 yards from the LOS... or he'd be left in to block. I just think the personnel we have runs a West Coast scheme better. Garrett, to his credit, has run some kooky screens, fakes, and RPOs that have masked some early struggles with the offense, but his route combinations are often pretty lame. I'm ok moving on from him next year, but I do wonder how another new OC might affect Jones' progress.
  7. Fuck that. New Hampshire maple syrup smokes the shit out of that lame-assed Canadian stuff, motherfuckers have NO business even calling that syrup.
  8. Looks like there's very little chance of getting an honest assessment of his play these next four games, which is too bad because we really need it
  9. No chance for Jalen unless his nickname becomes "The Truth." Like Karl Williams.
  10. He wasn't worth the contract, and with all these injuries that have piled up, I'd have to say it's unlikely he'll be the same player, or even a really elite player going forwards. Meanwhile, Peppers looks like the light has finally gone on for him, and has been playing out of his mind. Dex Carter looks like a B+ player at worst, and still has upside. I'd say we got the best of the trade.
  11. Didn't realize it till today but Yannick was traded to the Ravens from the Vikes. Guess he wore out his welcome there. Makes me want him even less. Dude sounds like a real problem.
  12. Yeah this felt like a step back, which honestly we should all expect with such a young team. Lets see how they respond vs. Cleveland next week. If they don't look competitive we'll know there's a long way to go and Seattle was the abberation.
  13. I watched the highlights of that game and take away the two pick-6s and Washington loses that game. People are acting like they won by 40 points; the Giants are still very much in this.
  14. Yeah I was hoping we'd see what we had today when teams didn't have to worry about gimmick plays, but the line and receivers didn't wanna cooperate. We need a true #1 next year and need to think about a high draft pick as well. Thats funny, I've been wondering this as well. The offense was so bad for so long this season then there was a little stretch where Jones played pretty good, not great but at least didn't fuck things up. I was hoping we'd get that Daniel Jones today but unfortunately we got Dog Shit Danny instead and now I'm back to not knowing what we've got. I don't think we'll really know until he has a true NFL wr on the team but like I've said, his inability to limit yhe fuckups is really troubling.
  15. The line really let him down today, but 3 fumbles, one of which set up a score, is not acceptable. There were plays to be made out there and Jones didn't make them. He'd better get this straightened out in the next four games.
  16. I'm just gonna go ahead and bump this thread.
  17. Three, but yes. Also Logan Ryan pick that probably would have been a pick-6. There were plays to be made this game, we just didn't make them
  18. Agreed on both counts. Gallman too please. All due respect to Morris, but I'd be leaning on the Wayne Train here.
  19. Yeah man. Didn't see that one coming.
  20. This defense is gassed. I think this one is over.
  21. QB and WRs. We need to sign at least one WR this offseason.
