  1. Yeah I'm not really sure what this guy is supposed to bring to the table. There wasn't a sixth round rookie that couldn't have given us 100 yards and a pick every week?
  2. If Fromm goes in I might watch for a bit. Otherwise I think I'm probably gonna do a winter hike.
  3. Just finished shoveling the porch. I'm gonna turn it on while I catch my breath.
  4. So I just finishing lunch. Should I turn this on? Is there anything interesting worth watching?
  5. I think someone is gonna fall in love with this kid. Has all the tools, however lacks elite arm strength. If he's there when we pick, someone will trade up for him.
  6. Wait a minute... isn't Wes Steinberg the guy who's Twitter feed is a joke?
  7. I think I'm out on these guys for next year.
  8. Honestly I'd take a 6th for Barkley. You can find literally any back with his production for under 7 mil.
  9. I wrote in another thread, getting rid of Barkley, Bradberry, Rudolph, and Martinez frees up 30 million.
  10. He was my 2nd favorite tackle, after Wills. I thought Wills would be better out of the gate but Thomas could possibly be a Tyron Smith type if he developed properly.
  11. Dameon Pierce, Gators. Right now he's projected as a 6th round pick. The Gators have a bunch of good backs so he's had to split time this year, but look at what he's done with his touches. Speed, shiftiness, excellent power for his size, and the most important trait... vision. Dude reminds me a little of a young Ahmad Bradshaw.
  12. Gonna wait to do a deep dive on draft prospects till the offseason, but literally every position on the team is worth a look, and we should be trading down as much as possible to build draft capital for 2023, when the QB class should be much better. In the meantime, here are some guys we should look at trading to free up cap space since right now we have something like 600k in space: Saquon Barkley - 7.2 million gained. No dead cap Kyle Rudolph - 5 million gained, 2.5 dead cap hit James Bradberry - 12.1 million gained, 9.1 million dead cap Blake Martinez - 8.5 million gained, 5 million dead cap (love the guy but he's only signed through next year anyway and ACL is a two-year recovery, typically) I'd ask for no less than a 3rd for Barkley or Bradberry (Bradberry I'd be cool with a 4th for as well), cut the other two guys. Unfortunately the Sterling Shepards and Kenny Golladays are in an upside-down dead cap situation where we'd have to pay to get rid of them, so we're stuck with those guys for now... but this frees up 30.5 million in cap room. With that 30 million, I'd go hard after the following two players: LB Hassan Reddick - 3 years, 45 million G Laken Tomlinson - 3 years, 35 million The rest of the holes are going to have to be filled with bit players and through the draft, but we can get the same production out of the guys we're cutting out of scrubs and late-round picks (assuming Martinez is done).
  13. To his credit, he does do a few things well. He hired Graham, and while we're still having teams hang 30 on us from time to time, he does seem to both come up with a good game plan and not have our secondary look completely bewildered after a big play (big plays seem to be more a lack of talent than people not knowing where they're supposed to be). Bettcher was horrific when it came to preparing his DBs. But at the end of the day, Judge really has three jobs... hiring assistants, evaluating talent, and in-game decisions. Outside of Graham, none of these coaches seem to be "doing more with less." Maybe the d-line coach but literally nobody else. Judge has been a consistently poor evaluator of talent, and many of the players we've let go are enjoying success with other teams. As for in-game decisions... we regularly burn two timeouts in the first quarter of games, and often play much too scared/conservatively. He fall short in all three categories. We can do better than this guy.
  14. I remember the last game I went to see at the Meadowlands with Coughlin still as coach, we got there early and watched the warmups. It was literally the exact same warmup regimen we did when I was in middle school.
  15. Yeah bottom line for me is if Judge or Gettleman is here next year, I'm pretty much gonna skip the season. I'll kind of treat it like I've treated this season since week 4; if there's absolutely nothing else going on I'll watch, but I'm not going to get worked up or plan my weekend around the game.
  16. I think the narrative that you're going to see is that Gettleman wasn't "a Judge guy" so Judge should have the biggest say in who we get as a GM. We'll probably see an Alabama or Patriots front office guy. Judge will be "falling up," if you will.
  17. I think what most of the fan base is looking for at this point is "this is not acceptable, and there will be consequences for this type of play." Judge essentially comes out saying that he's happy with the progress (or something).
  18. Or the second. Or third. Fuck, there were quality guys in the 6th but we really needed Rodarius Williams and Gary Brightwell apparently.
  19. I think my son and I both yelled "what?!?" and then it was like two straight minutes of mute silence.
  20. Yeah when he stayed in, I thought we should have gone Josh Allen/AJ Brown/ Cody Ford that draft and traded up for Herbert if necessary next season. Ford hasn't panned out but the other two are good players. I never liked the Jones pick.
  21. Honestly, the reason I'm a little interested in the game is because there's so many players on the Chargers that I wanted us to draft. Herbert, Palmer, and Slater were all guys I was banging the table for.
  22. If Judge stays, I'm gonna approach next season the same way I've been treating this one... I'll catch the game if it's convenient for me, but I'm not going to plan my weekend around it. Basically all my Sundays will be freed up.
  23. Honestly, I'm really glad the Giants are getting fucking destroyed. If the last few games of the season are competitive Mara might be convinced to keep some of these losers.
