  1. He looks much more Ahmad Bradshaw than Rodney Hampton to me (which is fine).
  2. Agree on Pierce. I've had my eye on him for a while now. As far as the line, if Shonen doesn't make a converted effort to get at least two quality players this offseason he's nuts. We have to evaluate our QB, and if it turns out he sucks we're going to have to draft a young guy. How are you supposed to do that with this OL group? We need to sign one if the many good free agent guards available, spend one of our first rounders on the line at a minimum, and then grab another guy in the first three rounds. We'll never have competent QB play if we don't get this fixed.
  3. Eight weeks ago people were arguing with me on Reddit that we really needed Ed Dodds to be GM because "THE COLTS ARE THE MODEL OF AN NFL REBUILD!!!!!!!!!!!"
  4. My favorite part of the article is how the author states something, states the exact same thing in a slightly different way to pad the word count.
  5. This is how I feel as well. If we get one of the top FA guards available, we can hope that between Bredeson, Gates, and Peart we can find someone to fill the other spot. There's guys in the later rounds of the draft (Marquise Hayes, Ed Ingram, Cole Strange) that I think can come in and challenge for a starting role too.
  6. Honestly if we can't get good value for him now we should wait until one of these contenders inevitably lose their starting RB and then trade Barkley for a good pick in 2023.
  7. Pretty amazing that Duke Johnson was traded for a third and here we are hoping against hope that we can get a fourth for Saquon.

    Cuts

I think you have to trade Barkley to get the cap savings. If you cut him you're still on the hook for the money. As far as starters go... Keep Thomas obviously, Bredeson is your "we have to get by with him" guy, sign Laken Tomlinson to a big deal and Tyrell Crosby to a small one, and draft Linderbaum and Ekwonu. They're not gonna come out of the gate hot, but the last half of the season that should be a pretty decent offensive line.

Yeah he was "okay to good" but you can get that in the sixth round.

I remember Golladay definitely counts more against the cap if you cut him than if he stays.
  11. I almost think you completely trade and/or cut bait with everyone on the roster and start over. Eating the dead cap now and trading down to the mid-first round or so to acquire additional next year picks doesnt sound like the worst idea given our cap situation and shitshow of a roster.
  12. Not bad. I haven't watched tape on Hamilton yet but Linderbaum I think is gonna have a gold jacket when it's all said and done. I've never seen a center with that blend of strength and athleticism; I'll be pissed if we don't grab him. I love Asamoah but I think 37 is way too high for him. Id scoop him up in the third but the LB/safety tweeners always seem to be boom or bust and there's safer picks to be had there. Bailey Zappe is going to give you everything a veteran backup provides, plus potential... at a fraction of the price. He's a nice-looking player. He's mostly played from a clean pocket so it'll be uh... interesting... to see how he does here. Cole Turner is a nice, all-around player. I don't like Dylan Parham and I don't understand why so many pundits are high in him. Small school, undersized, was beaten regularly at the senior bowl, tape is just mediocre. Maybe he can stick at center but he's just too small to make it I think. Haven't watched film on the other guys yet. Nice draft.
  13. I didn't realize he was that old, and there's 4-5 good guards available this offseason. That doesn't sound unreasonable.
  14. I know Scherff is the highest paid guy. I've seen Tomlinson priced at 15 mil/season on Spotrec.
  15. I think we need one FA lineman, just because we can't realistically ask next year's line to be four rookies. I'd love to see Tomlinson as our starting guard (he fucking abused Aaron Donald three weeks ago, watch the film) and I'd love to have Tyrell Crosby come in as a backup at both tackle spots and possibly push for a starting RT spot. He's not great but he doesn't hurt you either; exactly what you'd want in a backup. I'd love Linderbaum and Ekwonu as well. Just imagine, next year's starting line could be: Thomas - Bredeson - Linderbaum - Tomlinson - Ekwonu You could have Crosby as your tackle backup, then hope you get something out of either Gates, Limeaux, or Peart in a backup role at guard (honestly though, i think all three of their careers may be over). We'd go from league's worst line to a B- line, with the capacity to develop into an A+ line in the next two years or so.
  16. If we sign Laken Tomlinson, draft two more o-linemen and sign Hassan Reddick, we may be able to scrape .500 next year. I still think this is probably a 6-11 team.
  17. I thought being bald was a prerequisite to coach on this team since Rob Ryan has enough hair for everyone.
  18. Results are the most overrated thing!
  19. We save 2.5 million if we cut Dixon.
  20. I'm just gonna go ahead and leave this here... This is what I mean when I say GMs outsmart themselves.
