  1. Honestly in that scenario I think we should look to trade down again. We also have very little cap space this year and two top-10 picks are somewhere along the lines of 16 million dollars where a top-10 and a teens/20s pick is something like 9 million.
  2. There's rumors we can get a 2nd for Toney and if that's the case, I think the Giants should do it. This is not going to end well.
  3. When I watch his film I see much more Jamin Davis than Micah Parsons. Don't get me wrong, I think he'll be a good player... but more of a B, B+ kinda guy. First round seems too early for him (top ten is definitely too high as I've seen in some mocks).
  4. He's another guy that I look at on tape and don't get it. He's an ok prospect but nothing special.
  5. Like CD says, he's tall and skinny. Every video I see where he "wins the rep," half the time the defender isn't even trying... the other half he's pushed into the QBs lap right at the release. He looks to me like a guy that will be a top-shelf LT in his third or fourth season, but we don't really have that luxury. Ekwonu on the other hand has the size, the strength, the "want it," and the athleticism, but needs a little technique work. Normally that might scare me, but the dude had two Ivy League offers; he's a smart motherfucker, he'll get the technique.
  6. Cross is a 2-3 year project. I have no idea what everyone sees in that guy; NFL defensive ends are gonna kill him with the bull rush. He's a late 1st/early 2nd talent, not a day one starter.
  7. I mean... there's really nothing wrong with this... but I have to admit I'm worried that the prevailing wisdom will be, "well between these 16 scrubs there's gotta be 5 starters there for sure!"
  8. Teams will be interested after the draft. Worst-case scenario we can always restructure his contract. I know Schoen doesn't want to do that but we did it with Bradberry and we're in a shit situation right now no matter what we do. Kicking the can might be the only solution. Dude is a good corner, probably top 15 in the league... there's no reason to give him away for nothing. This isn't a Barkley scenario where he's giving you 1/4 of the production you expect for the price tag. We restructure, some contender loses their top-flight corner due to injury in October, and suddenly we're in really good shape for the following season when shit will matter.
  9. Dude didn't show up for workouts. Then didn't have the right cleats. Then got hurt with the wrong cleats. Then got COVID. Then got injured. Then got COVID... again. Then punched someone in his one good game. And that was pretty much it... until now where he's not showing up for workouts again. That's not all "just bad luck," some of those are "just bad decisions." He's nobody right now and needs to start acting like he wants to play in the NFL or he won't be for long.
  10. That's one of the problems... he doesn't do that. 424 yards last year, and half of that came in one game. If you're Odell Beckham and you had 1400 yards and 12 TDs the year before, you can skip the voluntary workouts... that's not Kadarius Toney. Most NFL fans have probably never heard of him.
  11. He has not impressed me so far in the "not being a dumbass" department.
  12. Jones would be the backup this season (he's probably going to be a career backup).
  13. We could really use an experienced vet like Breida to show Saquon how to cheer from the sidelines on IR.
  14. What if we traded Jones and a 3rd for Faker Mayfield, then drafted Neal or Ekwonu in the first and Zion Johnson in the second, along with Kayvon Thibodaux? Do you think we could be a 500 team this season? I am in no way saying we should do this or that it's possible (I think Mayfield is a punk bitch and we have no cap room) but it just popped into my head this morning.
  15. Brothas of Sportswrath... what is your verdict?
  16. I think if we pick in the teens, we'll just pick whoever slides. We can still grab some nice talent there and we literally need an entirely new roster.
  17. And Mook. And Allen. Actually yeah, fuck this idea.
  18. I was saying this morning, teams don't wanna surrender picks for a draft coming up in 30 days... but when the draft is over, giving up a 3rd for a draft happening next year will seem a lot more palatable.
  19. Saquon for a conditional 7th. We all know he'll be on IR with a 2.1 yard average by week six anyway.
  20. If I had a choice of trading my 1st and next year's 1st to move up to #5 and take any of these guys... or to spend those two picks on either Garropolo or Mayfield... it would be a pretty easy choice for me. Those are both proven, playoff caliber QBs and the best guy from this year's draft (Willis) is pretty much a two-year project just to see if he's even serviceable.
  21. The bad part of all of this is that it's really killing the market for one of the QBs in the draft. Of all those guys listed, six are playoff QBs, two are Super Bowl QBs, and one has a ring. Why would any team take a chance drafting a QB this offseason when you can just nab one of these guys?
