  1. Also... so glad some other dumbass team pulled a Gettleman/Reese and took Cross.
  2. And good for him. I know we need to free up money but you don't just give picks like this away for peanuts.
  3. So nice to not have to talk myself into trying to feel good about the picks for once...
  4. Look... I'm not sayin' Joe Schoen takes his draft advice from me... I'm just sayin...
  5. JOE SCHOEN PLAYING 12 DIMENSIONAL CHESS!!!!
  6. If we take Cross I'm going to be so fucking pissed.
  7. Only question is... do we trade the pick?
  8. Plus Thibs or Sauce might still be available at 7. So many blue chip guys left.
  9. Don't take Ickey fucking Jet assholes.
  10. YES! Couldn't ask for a better start!
  11. I think he'll be good but in a Jeff Lageman kinda way.
  12. Lol. More good players for us!
  13. Unfortunately all I can have in the house is my wife's Woodchuck Mimosas. Gotta admit they're pretty tasty though. I don't want Cross unless we trade down to the teens or 20s.
  14. Thanks guys! So long as we're not talking about "how could we take Cross at 5" in an hour I'll be happy.
  15. If someone doesn't try to fleece them I think yes. They don't have the money for two top-10 picks this year. Gettleman fucking sucks.
  16. My final mock: R1: 5 - DE Kayvon Thibodeaux - Sauce Gardener is gone, so I'm going with a top-flight edge player with all three tackles left on the board. I have no idea why people question his work ethic. Dude was a flat-out beast, and worrying about your post football career says "smart" to me, not "selfish." R1: 7 - LT Evan Neal - My crush is off the board (Ekwonu), but Neal has everything you need to be a serviceable right tackle, and can play LT when Thomas gets hurt. I've really warmed up to him in the last few weeks, and while he doesn't have the tenacity of Ekwonu, I think he can develop into a very good player. R2: 36 - G Kenyon Green. No idea how this guy is still here, but I'm thrilled he's still here. Seriously thought about Leo Chenal in this spot, but with the opportunity to shore up the line for good I couldn't pass him up. Can fill in at RT in a pinch as well. R3: 67 - TE Greg Dulcich. A bit of a projection, but you can see the athleticism that other guys in this class just don't have. Once he learns to block he can be a real player I think, but he's got a ton of bust potential too. R3: 81 - WR Alec Pierce - just a solid all-around receiver. Good but not great speed, above average hands, knows how to separate. I can see him being a Myles Austin type. R4: 112 - G Marquis Hayes. Needs to refine technique a little bit and maybe just just a smidge stronger, but I like his film. Interior backup at either guard spot or center. I know this is the third o-lineman but I'm tired of trotting out shit players and having our offense fall apart once two guys on the team get hurt. Plus, good linemen just keep falling to me. R5: 147 - RB Ty Chandler. He's Ahmad Bradshaw. Good speed, good moves, but EXCELLENT vision. He could be a legit home run hitter for us. He'll be a role player year one, full time starter by year three. R5: 173 - TE Jake Ferguson Good all-round TE that can block. Maybe won't ever develop into a starter but reminds me a lot of Jake Ballard. R6: 182 - P Matt Araiza. Teams still need a punter and we have none.
  17. I think it's his three years of film that has them scared long term.
  18. Maybe... but it's almost impossible to fathom either having a good year. Right now our starting offensive line is Thomas (who's already had injuries in his first two seasons), the guy from the Colts, and three practice-squad level players. Our line sucked last year but this one may actually be worse; it's close to the end of the "fix your team" season and we have no starting caliber players at three of five spots.
  19. Yeah I sort of am. I've watched a little more film; he definitely still has warts and I think he's overrated, but I could see him developing into a good right tackle. I wouldn't hate it if he were the pick, but I think I'd have to watch a little more before I felt legitimately good about it.
  20. I've seen the same thing with Pickett. His arm is adequate but just ok and he doesn't anticipate well.
  21. Who is the guy being talked about in the draft this year that makes you say, "what? THAT guy?" For me I have a few... LT Charles Cross - sorry guys... he may end up as the best of the tackle bunch in three years... but he's not big enough, not strong enough, gets pushed around too much, and has no positional value outside of LT. If he doesn't put on more weight he's a bust, unlike the other two guys. He's behind Trevor Penning for me. LB Devon Lloyd - he's not a bad player per se, but he looks like a high second round guy to me. Good straight ahead speed but I'm not seeing the lateral movement. Looks like a B, B+ kinda player but I've seen him going as high as #5 overall. DE Travon Walker - I get that he's athletic but he didn't do anything in college. G Dylan Parham - not big, not strong, gets manhandled, wasn't good in college and had a bad Senior Bowl. Seriously, what am I missing with this guy; I've seen him mocked in the second.
