  1. 100% agreed... I'm just saying that with 17 guys with potential first-round talent, you'd think there'd be someone within the first ten picks for us. While I appreciate the optimism on this thread, I don't think we're winning more than six games... and that might be a stretch. In many ways, this roster is worse than last year's, and we have a brand-new front office. And for all the "we have a weak schedule!" apologists out there, we had a weak schedule in Pat Shurmur's final year with the team and we all see how that worked out.
  2. I'm hearing Anthony Richardson is the guy to watch this season.
  3. Apparently, there have been 17 different quarterbacks mocked in the 1st round of next year's draft. I know it's way too early and a lot can change but if it turns out that Jones isn't the guy, there's a good shot to have a franchise signal-caller there in the top third of the round.
  4. Oh... he got run over by everybody.
  5. I guess it depends. I'm taking Revis over Deion, or if we can have any player from any year... I'm taking 1997 Jason Sehorn. That dude shut down everyone that year and was a run-tackling machine. I always think of where he'd be if not for the ACL injury. His career was pretty much over after that... but for 2-3 years he was the best corner in the NFL. Rod Woodson had a shot to be the best ever as well before his ACL.
  6. Dude, he really did. Somebody like Andre Rison or Irving Fryar would be playing and catch an eight yard out halfway through the third... and I'd be like, "oh, that guy's playing today?" He just made the other team's best WR disappear.
  7. You need to do three things as a corner; cover, provide run support, tackle. Sanders was great, but he was only great at one of those things.
  8. Also, I read this entire article... basically the guy liked Flott better than most but didn't even bother to scout like four or five of our picks. That's how good they are.
  9. Just gonna say this again... outside the top two picks there were 9 JAGs, aside from that TE we got who I think has a chance to be pretty decent. These guys aren't difference-makers, and Robinson is much more Jerrell Jernigan than Tyreek Hill. Outside of our o-line and DE (and I guess backup QB), our roster is somehow actually worse than last year, or at least comparable in how terrible it is. There is a very real possibility that Gary Brightwell is going to be the starter by week 8. Expect 4-5 wins.
  10. What's he trying to say? The line of Andrew Thomas - Mexican Poser - Try Hard Guy - He's Still on the Team? - Washed-up Has-Been... wasn't any good?
  11. I hope he fucking sucks.
  12. Cardinals subreddit practically threw a party.
  13. I think Ezeudu has a chance to be decent but McKethan was literally a throwaway pick. The competition will be between Bredeson and Lemieux I think. I'd be surprised if Max Garcia makes the team; he's awful.
  14. This is good news. So right now the line looks like Thomas - some guy - Feliciano - Glowinski - Neal. Feliciano doesn't have a great grade on him but he didn't allow a single sack last year. If we can find someone competent for the LG spot we may have an NFL-caliber offensive line next year, which would be a nice change. Best case scenario though is that they start looking decent in the second half of the season; they're not going to start to play well as a unit right out of the gate.
  15. He was actually the other guy I thought was a good pick in that spot. I think he's got a chance to be a really good two-way TE (I've been asking for one of those literally for ten years).
  16. Yeah but like... this is the dude's job. He's spending 12+ hours per day on this and he reaches for guys 60-100 picks ahead of where they're expected to be drafted? I'm hoping he just didn't have good info since like half of the scouts are Gettleman's guys but that's really alarming.
  17. This guy sees it pretty much the same way as me. The reason everyone is saying the Giants had a great draft is because those same guys have been telling us that Joe Schoen is a genius that's going to be the next great GM... and it's tough to say the guy who you've been praising as a genius made eight really questionable picks his first time out.
  18. Man, I haven't been across the pond in fucking forever. If you fucks all go and I can swing it I'd go as well.
  19. Congrats my man. Hopefully better than the 7-0 stinker of a game you had to suffer through last time.
  20. I wanted Gallery too but to be fair, that was long before all-22 film and YouTube.
  21. Shitting on Garrett and Judge is pretty en vogue, but I'm not sure what the fuck kind of offense they were supposed to run when nobody on the line can sustain a block for two seconds. This year's offense will sink or swim based on how well the line plays.
  22. I disagree. When there's guys in the third with a low first/high second round grade on them, you don't reach for a guy with a sixth-round grade instead. Honestly, the more I talk about this the worse I feel. I'm seriously considering bailing on the team.
