Yeah Garrett's system sucks, but I'm not sure what you're supposed to run with an O-line that can't hold a block for over two seconds and a QB that needs 30 seconds to process the route tree. If you thought Jones looked like shit before wait till you get a load of the two picks he throws per game with Daboll's optional route tree. Eli and his WRs were smart as fuck and there was still 5 times per game where they weren't on the same page.

That's the thing though... it's hard to believe... but only 18 months ago the Giants were considered a team on the rise. Judge went 6-2 over the historical final 8 games, and the team had tons of momentum. Then we went 0-3 against 3 bottom feeders and the season was pretty much over.

You can't just outright trade him, nobody will take on 21 mil for a shit player.

I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be worth trading him to another team and eating most of his salary just to get out from under his cap hit for next year. So far Colin Johnson looks like the better player.

I liked him too. Never going to be a starter but can definitely be a quality backup in the league.

I don't hate Judge. He deserved to go for sure and was in over his head... but he had a GM forced on him, a QB forced on him, and an OC that he didn't get to pick. The two parts of the team he actually got to run his way (defense and special teams) were actually pretty good.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cody Ford ends up on the team within the next month. 2nd round guy from a few years back that got bounced around to a bunch of different positions on the line but never managed to nail down a spot. He's still more potential than production but Schoen knows him and we're once again getting desperate on the o-line. I just don't fundamentally agree with that. Yes, you need to draft well in the first 3 rounds, but if you look at any of our championship teams they were littered with guys who were later round picks that all contributed in big ways (Bradshaw, Diehl, Jacobs, Boss... hell Bavaro, Baker, and McConkey if you wanna go back further... so many players). In the later rounds teams should be looking for guys who fell in the draft, not reaching for guys you can sign off the street two days later... and that's what McKethan was. You take the guy projected in the 4th if he's there in the 5th, not the guy who was projected in the 7th.
