  1. Sure hope somebody kneecaps that motherfucker tonight.
  2. Also, Nick Gates at LG today huh? Sorry, I was at my kids birthday party till the Barkley TD.
  3. Also Dexter Lawrence is a straight fucking beast.
  4. We'll fall to 7-5, last in the division. Our losses will be against 2 division opponents, one of whom swept us, as well as Seattle and Detroit, both of which may be fighting for the same wild-card spot. Plus a very tough upcoming schedule. I think this weekend will tell us a lot.
  5. "No-Deal Beckham!" Apparently it was just Xanax he had been on though. When I was in my 20s I needed the same thing for flights.
  6. I loved the wide nine. My Eagles fan buddy summed it up perfectly: "We line up wide. They run for nine."
  7. I know technically he didn't have a great stats game like I had asked for in the title but he played really well on Thanksgiving.
  8. I didn't see these guys play... but there's a reason why I know the names Rosie Brown, YA Tittle, Spider Lockhart, Brad Van Pelt, and Frank Gifford. From the days of my youth, Lawrence Taylor, Leonard Williams, Mark Bavaro, Harry Carson, and Phil Simms are no-brainers. I Also respected the game of Carl Banks, Pepper Johnson, and Mark Collins (Collins shut down every WR but would always get smoked in the last two minutes of a game by Jerry Rice). After that, Michael Strahan, Jessie Armstead, Tiki Barber, and Amani Toomer. In the modern era, Eli Manning and basically that entire o-line in front of him from 2007-2011. Seubert and Diehl are probably my two favorite players from that group. I think Bradshaw, Jacobs, and Cruz also deserve an honorable mention.
  9. Haven't been to a game in years, but I remember watching the team warm up in the Coughlin years and it was literally the warmup I did in high school. Everyone runs out on the field and stretchers cold muscles... what could go wrong?
  10. Injuries are once again just killing us. We're down to what... a 4th string LG and two fourth string LBs? Fucking FOURTH stringers. We lost by 8 (should have been 4 if the refs don't fuck us) points to a healthy team littered with All-Pros all over the roster and I couldn't even tell you the names of half of our starters this week. This coaching staff is excellent and we have a lot to be happy about but there was no way we were winning this game; I was just happy that we we're competitive.
  11. Yeah wtf. NFL officiating is fucking horrible.
  12. Cordale Flop is not big enough to play in the NFL
  13. I keep hearing this but every time I looked the dude sure looked like Matt Peart.
  14. It is definitely strange, but I'll note that this team let Jerry Reese run the franchise into the ground for 13 years. Is that mentioned in the article? Minorities of Sportswrath, what is your verdict? I've always seen the Giants as one of the more progressive franchises but my perspective is from a middle-aged white guy.
  15. Dude is gonna see us get blown out by 30+ points this weekend and he'll make the easy pick.
  16. I often go back and forth on this. Would I have rather had Micah Parsons or the Toney picks and Even Neal? Jury is still out for now but Parsons looks like the better deal... wouldn't surprise me if Parsons self-destructs at some point though.
  17. Didn't come back to the game and is not questionable for next week's game. The Don'Kareous Phoney hype sure was fun for two weeks though.
  18. I think we're in good shape at the tackles barring injuries (even Tyre Phillips has been a decent fill-in). We need at least one more interior o-lineman for sure; I'd argue we need at least two (center and guard). If I were to pick based on need right now, I'd say: WR CB MLB Subject to change based on free agent additions or losses.
  19. It's not so much that we're regressing I feel, as much as it's injuries and bad luck. We won our first game on a missed FG. Last year, we lost the Commanders game on a missed FG. We beat the Panthers largely because Baker Mayfield couldn't hit the broad side of a barn... not because we played well. There was also a kickoff fumble and a fumble at Carolina's 40. We beat the Ravens on a really dumb final series by Lamar Jackson. Last year's team loses that game. Just those three games alone would make us a 4-6 team, which I feel is a more accurate view of the talent level we've got. Throw literal third-stringers in at vital positions like RT, LG, WR, CB, and Safety and it's not hard to see why the team doesn't look as good.
  20. Yeah but... when your GM's draft strategy is "let's draft a DT, then I'm going to trade for a DT... afterwards, let's draft a DT then maybe draft a DT," I think the coaches kind of run out of places to put them.
  21. He does a lot of things that don't show up on the Stat sheet, and that's fine for the first half of the season. We're on the back nine now and he needs to start making plays.
