NFC - the Pack. They're a francise steeped in tradition and aside from Gay Matthews, they're pretty good guys. AFC - Colts. Tough not to feel good for their coach and for Andrew Luck, who despite all his wins and fantastic play somehow gets overshadowed by RGIII every week.

We could maybe get a 7th for Osi. Anything else is crazy. As far as the draft, at pick 19 we could still land stud RT, but blue chip LTs are pretty much out of the question. I'd take any position beaides qb, rb, wr, or fucking de. I'd love a starting calibur RT or LB first, but would be happy with a S, CB, or DT as well.

What? I thought we clinched the division four weeks ago.

Good shot he gets canned by the Bears tomorrow. He's not part of the Giants family like a Coughlin, Crennel, or a Fox... but we did have him in for a visit when we hired TC. He probably wants another HC job, but in a first-class organization like the Giants, he could make a ton of connections, or maybe take the reins from Coughlin whenever he decides to retire. What do you all think?

I'll probably watch until the end since it's the last game, but I think halfway through the third it stops being competitive. Although, there's a ton of snow on the dish right now and the signal is spotty. There's a chance I may stay on the PS3 all afternoon if the reception doesn't get better..

He's been playing on a bad hamstring and with a broken hand all year, and... once again... is a press corner who is inexplicably being asked to play zone. It's Tim Lewis and Bill Sheridan all over again.

I was actually gonna figure this out over the weekend. Glad somebody beat me to it. 15 is a nice spot. I think last time we had that spot we ended up with Jeremy Droppy. Every spot is important. 5 spots could be the difference between Johnathan Ogden... and Cedric Jones.

A real problem is that the defense was NOT addressed in the off season. We got a backup/role player RB, a fourth-string WR, and a project TE in the first three rounds when our D was the 24th ranked unit in the regular season. Our offense was 5th. WTF?

Yep. And the decision to let them play is a coaching decision. They need to take the blame on this.

I don't think Fewell is a great coordinator, but he's right. I don't know how many times I saw a LB shoot into the backfield and whiff on a 20-yard run or Corey Webster have great position but not get his hands up to make a play. That's not Fewell's fault... these guys are pros that should know how to do this shit by now.

31-21 Eagles. Reid saves his job. Actually, that might be a stretch.

I'd love to see Crennel here, and he's got some serious Giants roots. As far as a 3-4, Canty was a 3-4 DE already, and JPP has the strength to excel there as well. The problem is our linebackers are already the weak link of the D, and without some serious retooling there we'd be cutting off our nose to spite our face. Kiwi could probably be a decent LB but we don't have a thumper MLB or a speed guy to put next to him. I'd be a tough sell.

Yeah I thought Nicks was a FA this year. It'd be ridiculous to get rid of him now, in a contract year... however, I still think we should either keep Barden or Hixon, or get Nelson on the cheap. It's true that backup QB didn't lose us a game but behind a line with two FAs (Beatty and Boothe), a guy who's career is probably over (Locklear), and two other guys that can't play worth a shit (Diehl and Snee), we'd better look now before Eli gets killed back there. David Carr flat-out sucks and he's a FA as well... and he's older and probably more expensive than either of the other two guys.

Canty doesn't suck, but he's a B, B- player making A+ money. Plus EVERYONE has run on us this year up the middle... Right at Canty. My gripe witg the kicking game is the Eagles and Pittsburgh games, but I could live with Old Larry for another year if we had to.

My prediction: Everything breaks right for the Giants to get a wild card spot. Up by 21 with a minute left to play, the Eagles return a kick 100 yards for a td. The Giants recover and subsequently fumble 3 onsides kicks in a row, which are all returned for TDs. Season over.
