I think what we should do is start JPP immediately, let him play at 60% all season long, never recover, and let all of the other d-linemen we spend high draft picks on ride the bench.
Yeah.
He tweeted out yesterday about "just needing the right situation, so I can still 'squeeze in' some training before the season."
Uh... "squeeze in" training? You're a fucking football player.

Because nothing says "Super Bowl" like having a camera crew follow you everywhere.
This is true, however, we don't have ONE starting calibur linebacker on this team right now. Forget about a third servicable guy, I'd take one sercicable guy. As of right now, we don't even have a unit of has-beens, these guys are never-weres.
At least it didn't autocorrect it to "I agree this was just OH MY GOD I NEED A MAN SANDWICH RIGHT NOW."
Just turn it off, you'll be happier you did. People will forgive spelling mistakes.
Isn't he playing for something like the vet minimum? If so, let him stay on as the 4th safety.
Of course, some players make the move to safety really well (Rod Woodson) and some completely suck at it (Jason Sehorn).
I heard a locker room interview with him the other day and he didn't sound especially motivated. At one point, the interviewer says, "is the fact that many people are saying you're one of the all-time draft busts act as a motivator for you?" and his answer is, "no, no man... that doesn't act as a motivator for me. I'm motivated by my teammates." You know... those all-important teammates that he's known for all of one day.
I'd be surprised if he even makes the roster.
Going into the season with Boldin and Manningham as your starters is bad news. Boldin is learning a new system and may be over the hill... and Manningham is dumb as a brick.
The BEST part about ignoring our LB position to draft "for depth" at DT and DE is that when Justin Tuck, Kiwi, and JPP get injured, we'll start them at 60% for an entire season instead of starting "our depth" and letting them actually heal.
Ok, my LB rant is over till week 3. I promise.
