  1. Didn't look like a dirty hit to me.
  2. This IS a thread about the New York Giants, right?
  3. I know, but did you see how fast he can run? That pretty much erases any criminal activity or general assholey-ness.
  4. I think Beatty has come along and is actually pretty good. He might not be top-5, but he's probably the best of the second-tier players at that position.
  5. Traditionally, Coughlin has never put up with young players who cause turnovers. He'll let a veteran get away with that (Bradshaw) but never a young guy. Parcells was the same way.
  6. I didn't understand what was going on with him anyway. Didn't they IR him... on a one year deal?
  7. My guess is that there'll be about 4-5 weeks of initial success, followed by the league adjusting to Kelley's offense once they've had a good look at it. Then it'll be up to Kelley to re-adjust... and then things will get interesting.
  8. I think he'll be the blocker and short yardage guy. Wilson lost two yards from inside the one foot line, whiffed on numerous blocks, and fumbled. Right now, he's a one-trick pony. Before Sunday, I thought blocking for running backs was overrated...
  9. Mother fucker. Guess who's jersey I'M wearing on Sunday!
  10. I couldn't watch the game. Blacked out on DirecTV online.
  11. I've been saying for years, we need a road grating, mauling guard or center. Or, you know, we could just stick with Snee, Baas, and Diehl.
  12. Agreed. Flexibility is good in an offense, but there's a difference between being flexible and being a contortionist.
  13. I have no problems with it either, but there's a right way and wrong way to do it. Saying it was a dirty hit and out of line is one thing, making fun of Matthews' hair and how he throws a punch is something else. The guy is a head coach in the NFL; there's a certain amount of decorum that's supposed to come along with that.
  14. Actually, can we dwell on this one a little more? We're probably losing the next one by four touchdowns.
  15. Now we get this fucking gem. Though I guess if you're the guy who broke Jim Kelley's nose in an elevator because you didn't like what he said, maybe you do know something. Seriously though, this guy is going to self-destruct. Probably not this season, probably not the next... that team is too talented... but he's not gonna be one for the ages. The first season that team gets hit with injuries and they start off 1-4 the wheels are coming off in a big way.
  16. Turns out, on a Sunday Night Opener when the temperature is more than 65 degrees, the player with the most INT return yards without a touchdown is Ryan Mundy. Seriously, stats are for losers. The Cowboys got the only stat that mattered last night; everything else is just bullshit.
  17. I thought Tuck had a pretty good game. Some nice pressures, tackles, and held the edge well.
  18. Honestly, when i saw that hit on Prince I thought he fractured some vertebrae. He's lucky to only be concussed.
  19. Honestly, I've said this before... many times with fumbles, it comes down to coaching. With Tiki, the guy actually LISTENED and held the ball differently. But then we had Plax, Shockey, Bradshaw, etc... none of those guys were "high and tight" guys, and they were all fumblers. Instead of reinforcing it through coaching and actually enforcing it, those guys got more playing time... never once did Plax go the bench after he held the ball like a carton of eggs. I'm telling you right now, Nicks is a fumble waiting to happen... watch how he holds the ball... two points, away from his body. You learn THREE POINTS OF CONTACT in fucking pop warner. How can these assholes not know that?
  20. Honestly, I think Gilly's game plan really screws things up for him. It's one of the most complicated offenses in the NFL, maybe the most. Eli has a dozen PRE-SNAP reads. Then each receiver has a minimum of two routes that he and the QB have to be on the same page for. Then there's audibles with more of the same. Coming out of college, EA wrote that "this is a guy you just have to let play." Our offense does anything but, and the rare times that you see Eli just be able to go for it (two minutes drills) he more often then not nails them.
  21. It's absolutely pathetic that when given the ball on the ONE FOOT LINE you can't get a TD. That is just inexcusable.
