  1. As much as the Giants suck at evaluating draft talent, I have to take my hat off to their pro player department. We lost Hynoski, and we got Connor. Seems like an improvement to me. We lost our entire starting RB carousel, and still managed to not totally suck with Jacobs and Hillis. Trumaine McBride has been a find, and Jon Beason has totally changed the complexion of this defense. It can be argued that Mike Patterson and Cullen Jenkins have contributed more to the defense than our "homegrown" guys, Joseph and Hankins. I almost feel like we should go the Redskins route and start trading picks for players. We can't draft for shit but we can find diamonds in the rough like nobody's business.
  2. That's certainly part of it. The other part is that owners are totally cool shelling out 104 million for the likes of Joe Flacco, and don't want to see their "investment" ruined.
  3. Good thing we jettisoned this guy. Jerrel Jernigan is clearly setting the world on fire.
  4. I actually think the coaches are the only reason we have 4 wins. Coughlin won't let these guys quit. If this were Fassel, the record would be 1-10. I'm not going to defend Gilly, but the gambles at O-line and linebacker by Reese clearly haven't paid off, and bit us in the ass. Eli has about two seconds to throw back there... people are talking about the "improved blocking" he's getting... I guess it is an improvement over .5 seconds, but it's sure not an NFL-caliber line. This is a piss-poor team Reese has assembled, and he needs to be put on notice at least as much as the coaches.
  5. Whoa, whoa, WHOA, Nas. Myers is NOT a fat fuck. Clearly, he's a skinny shit. Fixed. The point of not playing Jayron Hosely is that he's going down with Travis Beckum, Chad Jones, Jerris Wilkinson, and Jerrel Jernigan as Giants third-rounders who never amounted to dick. The kid can't play. They had no choice. McBride suffered a pulled groin in the third... their options after him were Hosely (who sucks) and Charles James (who is probably worse). Though I have no idea why the Mook wasn't on him.
  6. I've actually warmed to Fewell a little bit. Turns out when you're not trotting out the Mark Herzlichs and Spencer Paysingers of the world, he's a half-decent coordinator. Gilly has to go, end of story. That offensive showing against the league's worst D was pathetic.
  7. What should happen moving forward: 1. Eli gets one game until we're statistically out of it and then we see what Nassib has got. Going back to the midway point of last year Eli has been a C, C+ quarterback at best. We need to see if our future investment was worth it (seeing as he got about five minutes of preseason time, my guess is no). 2. JPP goes on IR. Seriously, way to talk shit and not back it up. Let Da'Montre Moore take his spot and see what the kid has got. 3. Don't fire Gilbride today, but start looking at potential OCs right now. This guy is embarrassing. That's all I can think of.
  8. Will Hill has definitely been a find, too. If he can keep his head out of his ass he'll be a player.
  9. You replace Diehl and Cordle with two average players on that O-line and we're once again talking about the Pro Bowl and playoffs. Pugh hasn't lit the world on fire either, but he gets a pass for being a rookie. He looks small and weak, though (for an O-lineman). Hope a year in the weight room will bulk him up a little.
  10. The point is every time I hear an NFL "analyst" say, "WILL Eli Manning set the NFL interception record this season?" the answer should be "NO, you fucking moron, he's not even close... and until you all get off Brett Favre's cock it doesn't really mean anything now, does it?"
  11. Actually, he's on pace for 27. Which for a single season, puts him behind such icons as Fran Tarkenton, Y.A. Tittle, Peyton Manning, and of course... the "great" Brett Favre. If only Eli had won as many Super Bowls as those guys. Then he'd truly be great.
  12. I can't believe you guys are pining for Shockey. He had a great rookie year and then didn't do dick for the rest of his career. Even when he was traded to New Orleans so that his "career would be revived under Sean Payton" he became more famous for being reemed out by Drew Brees on the sideline than for making plays.
  13. Are you ready for the dream to die today? Because this is not going to be a competitive game. Eli throws two picks and is sacked five times, and we lose by double digits. Whatever scrub starts at QB for Green Bay we make into Fran Tarkenton. Bank on it!
  14. Sad stat of the day: Eli Manning has thrown ten pick-6s this year. He's spotted the opponents sixty fucking points.
  15. It was really obvious to me that Curry DIDN'T want to play for us, or anyone for that matter. I remember after listening to his first interview I said, "no way is that dude making the team." Sounded totally unmotivated, and it showed in his play.
  16. That's literally what it was. He played one quarter.
  17. Yes, but Mark Herzlich, Dan Connor, Clint Sintim and whatever shitty LBs the Giants have been trotting out for the past few years would have blown those plays 80% of the time. This guy can play.
  18. Honestly, I think we should make this guy an offer now. I was at the game yesterday and the guy totally cut Pryor off from his runs about a half-dozen times. Still looked fast as hell, makes the right reads, and seems like a real character (I liked him checking Tuck's gloves when he almost had the pick). Dude is a purebred leader. This doesn't even look like the same defense anymore... if that was Herzlich in there that fucking QB would have had 100+ rush yards. I don't think it's a coincidence that the defense has been playing so well since he's been in the middle. We don't have to break the bank but we need to lock this guy up.
  19. Yeah, rumor coming out of Dolphins camp is they want Incognito back, and want Martin to stay gone.
  20. Rueben Randle had better fucking pan out or that's one shit draft.
  21. I think we're going to see more spirited play... probably not enough to actually do anything with, but enough to take us out of the top-5 for the NFL draft. Maybe finish with a 6-10 record and a pick somewhere around #10.
  22. Five weeks ago, I was hoping the Giants would add this guy to their line since our O-line is playing like a bunch of girls, and he's nothing if not feisty and nasty. Now I wouldn't touch the guy with a ten-foot pole. Dude is clearly mental. Maybe he thought his name would keep him under the radar.
