  1. They should see if he's eligible for hand replacement surgery too... maybe fix the fumbles and drops.
  2. It looks like they're doing the same thing with JPP too. I'm not sure that guy is ever going to be a real force again.
  3. The guy was never a speed guy, but having him play on that foot/ankle/knee looks like it took whatever speed and wiggle he had away from him. There's plenty of reasons why the offense was bad this year but Nicks couldn't separate from his defender very often. Also, if you look at quotes from the beginning of the season about his recovery, it was always, "well, he's at about 90%." It never got to "he's 100%, a full go, really healthy." I think all you'll get out of Nicks for the rest of his career is "he's at 90%."
  4. Nicks is done. I really think the coaching staff ran him into the ground two seasons ago.
  5. This is bad for the bulging disc community.
  6. Kind of reminds me of Rob Ryan. Has the right last name but not much else going for him.
  7. I think we should hire him, if for no other reason than because his last name is "Macadoo." I've always thought we needed an OC who's name sounded like it could be an Australian marsupial.
  8. Actually, the quote was, "New OC... oh, uh... Mark Sullivan... and hey, my new clothing line opens on Feb 15th! Tweet @VicCruz80 for a chance to win an exclusive jacket from my new fall men's line!"
  9. Both of these. Also, the fact that he cheated on his wife while she was pregnant, then brought his intern girlfriend to the hospital for the birth of his twins demonstrates what kind of guy Tiki is.
  10. Not for nothing, but fuck this guy. "Well, our O-line wasn't very good and neither were our recievers." Yeah dipshit, that's why good coordinators make ADJUSTMENTS to compensate for that. This guy is like the employee that doesn't show up to work for 16 weeks because his car is broken down. Instead of jumping the battery, installing a new alternator, and pushing his car to start it... or fuck, riding a bike... he complains that nobody bought him the replacement parts.
  11. Too polite. They'll just be like, "YES! We scored a touchdown! (Sorry). Two-point conversion is GOOD! (Sorry)." Plus, all the play names would have to be maple syrup or polar bear named. Like, "Johnny Cakes Dark Amber 43 split-wide Coca-Cola on two (sorry)."
  12. The question is... how well does he call a timeout after coming back from a commercial break?
  13. Jacobs had a hard time later in his career with this as injuries piled up and he began running more tentatively. But in the Tiki Barber/Madison Hedgecock era, the guy was unstoppable. I don't know how many times Tiki or Jeremy Droppy would take the ball to the one and Jacobs would have to punch it in... and he always did. I remember runs from the two where a linebacker or safety would have a clear shot at him and whiff because they didn't want to get their bell rung. Dude was a flat-out beast until year 5 or so.
  14. People that didn't like him have short memories. Remember how you felt when Ron Dayne lined up in the backfield on third-and-one?
  15. What was the rumor supposed to be with Fassel? He was a womanizer or something, right?
  16. I hope he thanks Coughlin for the rings, and not the other way around.
  17. I don't get this either. People act like Eli is so dumb he can't learn a new system, and that NO qb in history has ever been able to pick one up. Uh, news flash... teams change coordinators, and the players adapt. Also, what's the alternative? "Well, Eli has been playing in a system that's not working... but it's an ineffective one that he KNOWS, so let's just stick with what we already know sucks."
  18. Agreed. Scheming is only one part of being a good coach... in-game adjustments are another part of that. For instance, when Eli has been sacked six times on his first 16 plays (Carolina), it's a good idea to not wait three more weeks to go to a short passing game. Then when the short passing game works for a drive and results in a score, you don't revert back to what was getting your franchise QB killed. This isn't an isolated incident... there's a seven-year track record of this kind of shit. Gilly has to go.
  19. Where's the "beating off" emoticon? Though I do agree that Sullivan isn't the answer.
  20. Whassup man! We thought you took out BadEgg and the Dog in a double homicide.
  21. Holy shit, man! Where've you been! We were getting worried about you!
  22. Brace yourself. This team is going to suck next year too.
  23. I don't understand the personal attacks on both sides either, but I'll throw in my.02 I have no idea why we didn't start the young guys. We invested picks in Nassib, Moore, and Hankins... those guys should all have been on the field. Yeah, you may learn that Moore jumps offsides... but you might also learn that Nassib avoids pressure well or throws a nice out pattern. Ironically, all we discovered the last two weeks is that Jernigan is better than we thought... a guy that again "didn't know the offense." I think checking out the vets like Tuck was worth it (contract year guys) but I don't know why you keep Eli, Jenkins, et. al. on the field. Also, what would the excuse have been if Eli had suffered a Will Beatty style fractured leg? Dude probably won't see a snap next season... could you imagine if we had to deal with THAT in the offseason? I don't know if it speaks to the ineptitude of the players, the coaching staff, or our scouts, but I have no clue what the benefit was to playing our contracted vets. Regardless, this team is going to suck for a long time. Get ready for it.
