  1. Fuck that guy. He's a good coach but each week it's like watching a third grader on the sidelines.
  2. I'd love to see us grab a giant blocking TE in a later round, especially if we're stuck with Will Beatty doing his turnstile impression for the forseeable future.
  3. Oh yeah, I'm not giving up on Manning yet either. But neither would I extend him right now. He's lead the league in picks the past two seasons and has a new OC. I know the popular position now is to kick the can down the road in regards to his cap hit, but I think you pay him now and see what you have moving forward after this season. I hear all the Joseph love and honestly, I just don't see it. I don't think he's a bad player but he's not a top 5 DT, but that's what he's expected to be paid like. I have a hard time remembering his big plays during his Giants tenure... and we had to bring in Jenkins, Patterson, and Rogers to improve the run D even when he was a starter. He's not bad but I wouldn't give him more than 4 million per season... that money can be better spent elsewhere.
  4. Honestly, I'm not sure you can find seven. On offense, I'd say Pugh and Cruz are the only two. Everyone else is either coming off a subpar season (Eli, Beatty) already out the door (Nicks), or too injured. On defense, I think we need to lock Prince up. He may not be a top-5 corner but he's definitely top ten. Rolle is young enough that we can build short term with him. Will Hill if he keeps his head out of his ass, and Jon Beason. JPP? He's had one and a half good seasons out of four. This is a "show me" year for him.
  5. Fuck, I was hoping we'd see the return of the devastating Madison Hedgecock swing pass. No wonder our offense has been in the shitter.
  6. That, and the fact that even though he had "all the measurables but didn't put it all together in college," he was still a linebacker. Thank God we have Mark Herzlich though. What would we do without that guy?
  7. You talk about him as if we don't have Spencer Paysinger. I don't know if you heard or not, but he worked really hard last offseason to win a starting job.
  8. You seem to see this a lot... a player comes to the Giants, and even if they leave for a big payday, they come back to retire as a Giant.
  9. Love this line: In other words, "if we can't get the guy we wanted during the season to stay, let's stick with the guy who we KNOW sucks." This guy couldn't beat out Blackburn or Connor, and when he was literally handed the job, we had to do a mid-season trade to get competency at the position. WHY would we want to keep him?
  10. I don't love Fewell, but when you take the 31st-ranked defense to the 8th in a year, you've probably bought yourself another season... especially with an offense that was a turnover and 3-and-out machine.
  11. Who's the player who wows everyone at the combine but "hasn't put it all together" as a college player? That's who we'll draft.
  12. I wish the best for Webby, who was pivotal in both Super Bowl runs. Brandon Myers will be that guy that in two years people are saying, "remember we signed that TE one year... had been with the Raiders... what was his name again?"
  13. Honestly, with all the shitty calls in the playoffs year after year, I kind of think the guy has a point.
  14. There's like... four people in the stands.
  15. OMG Demaryius Thomas. And we thought Sinorice Moss ran backwards after the catch. How many times did that guy catch the ball and LOSE 2 yards?
  16. 2 picks in the first half.
  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's always interesting to watch Peyton find new ways to choke.
  18. Let Tuck walk. Reese can draft the JPP of defensive ends to take his place.
  19. Look on the bright side... at least it's not aerial coverage of Brett Favre taking a shit.
  20. Same here. For all the talk of the "12th man" that stadium is pretty fucking quiet when the Seahawks start 2-6, and honestly, fuck Dick Sherman. I don't care if he's a communications major trying out for the WWE; when you're in the public's eye and there's six million kids looking up to you, act like a professional for Christ's sakes.
  21. Aside from Rich Seubert, he's been my favorite O-line member of the last decade. An all-time Giant great.
  22. Hey, don't get me wrong... I love the guy too. I still wear my Jacobs Super Bowl Jersey at least two weekends out of the month. But let's call a spade a spade. The guy wasn't the most tactful speaker and did plenty of boneheaded shit during his time as a Giant... helmet in the stands, anyone?
