  1. All right, look... this shit has to stop. Marvin Austin has done nothing, nada... absolute DICK with two teams, and people are still singing the blues that he left. Seriously, what the fuck people? To put it in perspective, Tony Romo has made more plays to help the Giants than Marvin Fucking Austin has. Believe it or not, some NFL players turn out to be busts! Bring back Thomas Lewis and Kanavis McGhee... they just never got their chances! This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say Giants fans on this board are too married to the players. Jesus Christ people... Marvin Fucking Austin...
  2. But... but he made that one play in that preseason game!
  3. We'd have to cut Gary Reasons to make room for him.
  4. Good article, but the numbers thing always strikes me. Its just so funny how they manipulate stats to make it sound like it means something. "The Giants have been home four of the past five postseasons" is the line, but if we win the Super Bowl this year, watch it turn into "The Giants have won THREE of the past SEVEN Super Bowls!"
  5. This. I don't know why Giants fans are so married to mediocre or worse players. Marvin Austin, anyone?
  6. Pretty sub-average as both a blocker and receiver last year. Nobody will even know he's gone.
  7. Agreed. This is a "show me" season for JPP. Though it was his sophomore year where he really shined. Hopefully he shows more than Nicks did in his "show me" season.
  8. The way I look at it is this: Beatty is a question mark. Walton is a question mark. Snee is a question mark. Zach Martin can step in on day one and fill in for either of those three. He's the next David Diehl, and honestly, that ain't bad. The funny thing is, I've heard people knock Jermichael Finley all offseason because of his attitude, his injury history, and the fact that he doesn't have great hands. Many of these same people want to draft Eric Ebron... DESPITE his injury history, his attitude, and the fact that he doesn't have great hands. Martin would be my pick, unless by some miracle a Sammy Watkins or Khalil Mack type slides to us.
  9. ...he couldn't beat CURTIS PAINTER. We aren't getting dick for him.
  10. It's funny... this whole time I've been saying, "Not watered down enough! We need 10 more teams in the playoffs!" The only thing that would make it even better would be if we got 6 new expansion teams. I'm thinking Milwaukee and Chatanooga need NFL francises. Or Burlington VT!
  11. That Steelers pick looks like a stock photo from 1975. Is there a single guy in that organization that knows how to use a fucking computer?
  12. Just imagine... an offensive coordinator that realizes when your line sucks, you take the 7-step drops out of your game... before week 8!
  13. Yes... I'm sure with zero experience and a full six minutes of preseason time, NFL teams are scrambling to give up a 2nd for Nassib. Remember, this is the guy who couldn't beat out Curtis Painter.
  14. I think whoever drafts Clowney is going to be sorely disappointed. Not an effort guy, doesn't believe in the value of practice and doesn't have a football name.
  15. Evans is fucking Ramses Barden 2.0 They have an identical skill set... like, 100% identical. I mean, it is possible that McAdoo will actually know how to use a guy like that, but... no thanks.
  16. I've got us starting 4-1 before finishing 8-8. Typical Giants season.
  17. As opposed to what... starting your franchise QB and letting HIM get killed back there? Now we're unsure on whether or not he'll be the same come week 1. We now have a situation where: 1. Eli might not be 100% for the opener. 2. Nassib has no NFL-game experience. 3. Nassib is useless as trade bait (which probably would have happened anyway... but who knows, the kid could have surprised) 4. We have to "hope someone falls to us" instead of getting the blue-chip player we want. We got our #1 guy hurt in two meaningless games that could have either improved our backup or given us a better draft position, or both. To me, THAT'S a waste.
  18. This. We need two starting-caliber O-linemen in this draft.
  19. Seriously. Carr taken #4 overall when he'll be there in round two, and a Guard in the top ten? Name me one time in the past twenty years a Guard went in the top ten. Pass me whatever this guy is smoking.
  20. I'll bet that "NFL executive" was John Mara.
  21. Honestly, we've had the same guy under center for a decade and we're still not sure who he is. For all the shit we give the Dog when he's here, "consistently inconsistent" is a pretty fucking good title for Eli. For as many amazing plays Eli has given us, there are just as many question marks (like how can you play QB for ten years and still not be able to throw a fucking swing pass to the flat). Now that Gilbride is gone, there can be no more excuses. It's put up or shut up time for Eli, and honestly I can't blame management for getting plan B ready if that's what they decide to do. The guy hasn't played well in two years.
  22. Management needs to copy and paste this and send it in a memo to Coughlin.
