  1. Anyone out there, or did the "we'll wait until someone is cut from another team" plan not pan out?
  2. I saw. He supposedly had a pretty good preseason too. Rumor has it being president of the NFLPA he stuck his nose into whatever controversy happened over there with contact practices and that's why he was cut. Didn't hear that on NFL.com or anything just through the grapevine and whatnot, so take what you want out of it.
  3. My motto has always been: don't cut cox.
  4. I've heard he's been running and cutting full speed since the second preseason game. Maybe the coaching staff has learned something from Hakeem Nicks and JPP.
  5. I thought Davis would be a lock seeing that Will Beatty and Charlie Brown are the guys we have at LT. How the hell does Davis get cut before Robinson?
  6. Also we're playing the NFC West this year... the Seahawks are a guaranteed loss, and Arizona was really competitive last year. San Fran will be good but we do seem to have their number... and I may be the only one who thinks this, but I bet the Rams are actually better off with Shaun Hill at QB. I'm thinking we lose a minimum of two of those games, and I can easily see us dropping all four.
  7. I'm thinking 6 wins, with 8-8 or 5-11 also possible.
  8. Travis Beckum, Adewale Ojomo and Ramses Barden.
  9. i'd like to nominate Odell Beckham, JR. for this esteemed honor.
  10. That's kind of how I feel too. You get Incognito by himself and maybe it could fly... you bring his little toady into it and suddenly its Miami all over again.
  11. I've been pretty down on the Giants' shitty offensive line in the preseason, but this article made me feel a little better about it. It basically says that the line's shitty play hasn't been an issue of them being physically overpowered as much as its been hesitation, trust, and blown assignments. That kind of stuff at least seems more fixable. Not quite sure why many of the .gifs didn't copy and paste as well, but you have the link to the real article.
  12. Most people don't remember, but Keith Rivers set the world on fire in his first preseason with the Giants as well. Then he got hurt, as Keith Rivers often does, and when he came back he started playing like Keith Rivers.
  13. There's something new this year as well... you can have 10 guys on the practice squad, and 2 of them can be players that have less than two accrued seasons. That means a Michael Cox who appeared (I believe) in more than six games last year is still eligible.
  14. FUCK YEAH!!! Now's our chance to trade Nassib for a 2nd!
  15. You didn't think so? I got the whole... "oh... it wasn't his fault, his DAD made him eat like that! Now look... he's getting divorced, OF COURSE he's going to eat more! And look... you can't just quit food addiction cold turkey, you HAVE to eat!" vibe from the whole thing. Like, "whoa is me, the world isn't fair, so I'm just going to keep (literally) feeding the thing that's ruined my life... its not my fault." Maybe I'm getting the wrong vibe from the whole thing but whether you're strung out on junk or Little Debbies, I just don't have sympathy for those kinds of people. The article sure didn't sound that way. He comes right out and says after each weigh-in the first thing he'd do is pig out. People with thyroid issues? I feel bad for those people. Guys that don't have the willpower to put the Twinkies down... sorry, not buying it. I don't have any animosity for heavy people... you look the way you wanna look... but don't come at me with the whole "woe is me" bullshit routine either.

    Randle

He's still an enigma to me. One play he looks like a Pro Bowler, the next he looks completely befuddled and/or disinterested.
  17. We'll see. Pugh had an up-and-down rookie season and Richburg hasn't started a game yet... and honestly, Pugh isn't McKenzie. In fact, for all the talk of Pugh moving to guard, he got overpowered quite a bit at RT... he's not really built to hold up against 350-lb DTs (again... yet... he can still build up his frame). I'd feel much better if we had someone not Will Beatty blocking Eli's blind side, too. For the life of me, I have no idea why we didn't go after Eric Winston in the offseason. If nothing else the guy provides solid depth at tackle, freeing Pugh to back up/compete with Beatty if needs be. So far, Schwarz looks bad, Mosely looks pretty bad, and Beatty looks bad. So instead of 4 question marks on the OL, we only have three. :/
  18. McKenzie - Snee - O'Hara - Seubert - Diehl. Name the guy Reese replaced with someone of equal talent.
  19. I haven't read the article, but I have a hard time feeling bad for a guy that had a spot on an NFL roster but was too undisciplined to not eat like he had a hole in his neck.
  20. This is bad for the Steelworking community.
  21. Exhibit A Exhibit B Exhibit C Just watch, when he inevitably gets cut, SOMEONE will give the old, "Man, just when Robinson was starting to turn it on... I hope he doesn't end up in the division!" bullshit routine.
  22. Yeah, but he caught two passes in a row against the 4th string guys to set up the winning TD. He's really more the Marvin Austin of TEs... show up for two preseason plays and everyone will sing the blues once you're gone.
