From what I remember the starters were pretty terrible last year. There were a million excuses (Eli doesn't know the offense! McAdoo is just trying out the 3rd and 15 draw!) but the starters were bad no matter how you sliced it.

Up until recently I'd go to 4-5 Giants games each year. Who knows what happens before the players hit the field but the pre warmup stretching on the field was seriously the routine we used to do in middle school.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if this guy was a quality player my guess is he would have broken out as a starter on that pathetic Jags team. The fact that he never did speaks volumes to me. I guess we'll see. Sure hope I have to eat my words.

I'd pay him his market value, which isn't the best in the league. There's a lot of marginal-to-bad players Jerry Reese could sign with Eli's money.

You should hear Anita Marks gush about J.T. Thomas. You'd think this guy was the second coming of Lawrence Taylor... meanwhile, back on planet Earth, this guy was a backup linebacker with a -14.3 PFF grade on a 3-13 team. Graziano started as the audio engineer for the Giants' podcasts. Listen to how poorly produced one of those shit-shows is and then tell me why the hell he was promoted to anything other than janitor. And by "poorly produced" I mean back when I taught podcasting to sixth-graders, one of their shows would have earned somewhere between a B- and a C. On the other hand, James Kratch is a new beat reporter and I'm 90% sure he's the son of former Giants guard Bob Kratch, one of my all-time favorite Giants. Should be interesting to hear his perspective on things.

He's definitely better than anyone we have on the roster right now. This is a good signing.

I think you have to give until week 4 or so to see what this team really is, but you'd have hoped Reese would have gotten the team better players at Safety, LB, and OL than what we've got now.

Last year the team looked terrible in preseason and it spilled over to the regular season. Awful o-line play, porous defense, and the infamous 3rd and 15 draw play. Once the regular season started we saw the exact same thing (that draw play still haunts me). It's certainly not time to hit the panic button but sure wasn't encouraging either.

Corey Washington is having the exact opposite preseason from last year. Can't make a play to save his life.

Yeah I thought the same. Nassib looks sharp as well. Corey Washington on the other hand is showing why he didn't get any playing time last year.

Don't worry though. I've been listening to Anita Marks on the Giants podcast and she has made it known that Giants Nation shouldn't be worried about the depth at safety or OL, because some team will release somebody that can start for the Giants at those spots. That's how great teams are built... with guys cut in August from other teams.

I tried doing the right thing and paying for NFL online, but honestly, their streams are so poor and they fuck you over so much (not showing playoff games, streams going offline, etc) that I'll never give them a cent again; I'm stealing everything from now on.
