  1. Zach Miller is still out there. He's no Larry Donnell, don't get me wrong, but maybe we should take a look.
  2. What can I say? I'm truly outrageous. Truly, truly, TRULY outrageous.

Leave Arsenio Hall out of this.
  4. If he can play like he used to, sans the drops, that would be awesome. In another month we'll get back Beatty too, which might help the line out... though the problem there is with run blocking, and Beatty's certainly no mauler.
  5. Must have been after I went to bed. I was moderately impressed with him last night.

Actually, I think it's arguable that special teams is our best unit this year.
  7. I went to bed about halfway through the third quarter tonight. This is what I saw till then: 1. Reuben Randle actually showed up, and even more amazing, it looked like he played well. If he can develop into a competent NFL receiver that would be awesome. 2. Eli looked very sharp for the time I watched him. His incompletions were more the fault of the receivers than Eli. 3. Larry Donnell should be next on the chopping block. His hands are terrible and if you wanna see poor blocking, watch Donnell on literally any play; right now he brings nothing to the table. He's a 265lb pansy. 4. Both lines are pretty average. The D-line is good at run-stuffing but can't rush the passer to save their lives. The O-line can pass block adequately but can't get a push in the run game. 5. Cousins is horrible. All-in-all, I'd five the Giants a B- for the evening. The win is encouraging and with ten days of rest and hopefully the return of Cruz and Flowers, we might have a chance next week against the Bills... Coughlin always seems to beat Rex Ryan teams.
  8. LOL that's funny I did just the opposite. I used to pay for Game Pass but the NFL officiating/money grab/oversaturation of everything is so ridiculous I'm stealing from now on.
  9. That's the biggest part. The way the team treated my family was disgraceful. But also it's the execution. The new stadium is somehow WORSE than the one it replaced. It's big, but it's ugly, and it's set up really poorly, funneling all the patrons through the same escalators/staircase system instead of having individual ones by tiers. It takes about three times as long to get to the seats as it used to (though I will say, the bathroom lines seem shorter). And don't get me stated on the concessions. A 10-dollar Budweiser? Eight-dollar hot dogs? C'mon man. My dad is convinced the Giants' recent failures is karma coming back to bite the Mara's and Tisches in the ass. They wanted to corporate crowd and now they've got it... in a 3/4 filled stadium where everyone leaves at halftime.
  10. Unless tickets are free, I don't think I'm ever going to a home game again... and my folks had season tickets for 50 years. Every time I see empty seats at the stadium I think John Mara is getting exactly what he deserves.
  11. I say halfway through the second quarter he's out. Funny... I had just texted my dad about this exact same thing.
  12. Technically, you'd have to say no. It's not like mathematically they're eliminated or that no team in history has climbed out of an 0-3 hole to make the playoffs. However, realistically... look at this team. Talent is short and already there's nine guys that are out for the game, the best defensive player is out until who knows when, we have one good WR, no difference-making running backs, and maybe one good linebacker... not to mention that the right side of the OL is terrible. Marshall Newhouse looks like a serviceable backup but at the end of the day, he's not a starter and Geoff Schwartz is just flat-out terrible. If we drop this game, I think we're done. On the other hand, the remaining games before the bye all look winnable, so I guess I'm kind of on the fence. If we win, I think we may start a run... a little confidence goes a long way with a team like this. What do you all think?
  13. This. Also, the Giants haven't beaten a starting caliber QB since Aaron Rodgers in 2013. The Giants have a much tougher hill to climb than the Cowboys.
  14. Ruben Randle is playing like... Ruben Randle. Aside from a handful of games at the end of each year, he's never been good, never clutch, never visible, and certainly not a difference maker. It's great that he beats up on the Jacksonvilles and Tennesees of the world but honestly, he's just not good. He runs the square-in well, but even then his other routes are poor, he doesn't know where to be, doesn't catch with his hands, can't time his jumps, and doesn't appear to be much of a blocker. Does he have time to get it together? Yes, but I don't understand why you'd keep a player who was clearly outperformed in the name of "well, we hope he gets better." These are horrible personnel decisions.
  15. However, you can go to your local ballet theater tonight, which is more or less the same thing.
  16. True, but he's ten times the player Stevie Brown is.
  17. I've heard that Gavin Escobar is the Mike Mamula of the Cowboys; pretty much sucks, but has awesome games against the Giants.
  18. ...wait till you see him in blue...
  19. Yeah, but it does say he thought they were going with those three guys and after Coughlin confirmed it, he asked to be let go. It's not like he just strolled into the office and asked for it; Coughlin said the highest he'd be is #4 on the depth chart.
  20. It sounds like it was a bit of each. And honestly, who wouldn't want to go with Ruben Randle and a one-footed Victor Cruz over a guy that has 3 TDs already?
  21. That's how I feel. If we lose on Thursday, the Cowher Countdown goes into full swing.
  22. This is supposed to be a POSITIVE thread, Tree! POSITIVE!
  23. Yeah I was thinking that too. McAdoo must really not trust that O-line.
