This is how I feel 48 hours later too. The starters played one series in the preseason... then came out in a torrential downpour. Yeah they looked like shit, but let's see how they look next week in sunny Arizona and we can say they suck from there. Honestly, we needed to pick somebody up there anyway. I think if you have to plug in an over-the-hill Justin Pugh or Jason Peters you're probably going to get the same production as you would out of Big Pussy Peart.

Joe Isuzu had every opportunity to win the starting job and couldn't... he was the current regime's guy, high draft pick, etc. He didn't win it because he's a bum and a wasted pick. That blocked FG that lead to the first score? Take a look at who was supposed to pick up the block that play.

I didn't love Evan Neal in the draft process but thought he could kick inside to guard if/when he doesn't pan out as a tackle. It looks like that's a strong possibility. I thought Kayvon Thibodeau's floor was Jadeveon Clowney but his ceiling was Javon Kearse. Looks like we're getting his floor so far. The rest of those guys (except Bellinger) I thought were wasted picks. It was a draft of JAGs with some truly head-scratching moves.

Team looked like what it was... a team playing in a torrential downpour that played literally one series of football in the past seven months. If we drop the next two I'll cancel my YouTube TV subscription. Season'll be over. I will say though... who fucking thought it was OK to trot out these guards as starters? We can't even kick the tires on a Dalton Risner or an Andrew Norwell? I mean... can they be worse than these guys?

Honestly, I appreciated the team sucking so bad so I could be in bed by 9:30. I'm tired of looking competitive and blowing the game in the last 90 seconds so I'm wide awake and wound up till 2AM.

I'm adjusting the bottom of my roster and had to drop WR Tyler Boyd to make room for Jeff Wilson to stash on IR. I'm thinking about grabbing one of the Giants WR since Boyd or any of our guys are pretty much a shot in the dark. Which one do you guys think is worth a stash on the bench? Darius Slayton - a do it all kind of guy, lead the Giants in receiving every year he's been here. Isiah Hodgins - 4TD in 8 games with the team last year, and nice work during the playoff run. Had double-digit games for the Giants in those four games. Parris Campbell - solid new WR target and should be the starting slot guy, but put up meh numbers last year. Jalin Hyatt - my personal favorite but a total swing for the fences that likely won't pay off.

This is my feeling as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a better team on the field that ultimately has a worse record. We won something like 5 games last year by one score, and many of those were in the final minutes. That's tough to replicate. I agree with BiC as well, the Eagles D-line is going to feast on our O-line this season. I don't expect those games to be competitive at all.
