  1. I feel like this game is a really big statement game for the Giants tomorrow. Hostile environment against a team with a hot QB, the best rushing attack in the league, and a ferocious defense. Win, and I feel like we can be contenders for the division... maybe the two self-destruct games were more our fault than the teams we played against. Lose, and we'll know what the Giants are... a "good" bottom-feeder that can beat the Washingtons and Buccaneers of the league but probably not much else. Honestly, my gut feeling is this... Eli is going to have his annual 5-pick game this week. I've been hearing too much about his no-INT start to the season and how well he's played minus the brain farts and I think this is the week he shuts everyone up with all that talk. I also wouldn't be surprised if he got hurt this week, possibly seriously. There's no way the right side of that line holds up against that Buffalo D-line; McAdoo will help him with quick drops and releases, but once those corners start to sit on those routes things will go downhill pretty fast... and forget about a run game, this line is horrible at run blocking. The silver lining is that TC seems to own Big Fat Rex Ryan whenever they meet up, but that well may have run dry. I'm thinking something along the lines of Buffalo 31, Giants 10.
  2. Right. It's fucking super hero central in here.
  3. I've heard that Welker said that he thought Rueben Randle would be ahead of him on the depth chart, and he'd really rather play for the Patriots.
  4. This line isn't really a run-blocking line no matter how you slice it. Flowers and Richburg look pretty good in that department but everyone else is pretty sub-average.
  5. If I had signed a contract like Jones had, I wouldn't have had that option.
  6. I don't know. Do you do what your boss says, even when you don't want to?
  7. Yeah, I don't get that either. TC: We're going to have you play slot this year. Jones: I don't want to play slot. TC: How does it feel to want? Slot receiver it is.
  8. I'm not sure he'll ever be ready. It's a good thing we had the wherewithal to sign James Jones in the offseason though.
  9. Is it just me, or is Weston Richburg playing really well this season? I don't remember seeing any pressure up the middle and in the run game, he always seems to get to the second level and stonewall his man.
  10. Admit it... you've had that picture queued up all week.
  11. Don't let Rusty hear that or he'll start sending you pictures of his junk.
  12. Honestly though, why keep a Green Bay castoff receiver... when you can have one of Tampa Bay's castoffs!
  13. Agreed. Not for nothing but we'd be laughing at the teams trying out Wes Welker and Hakeem Nicks right now if we had just KEPT the best preseason receiver on the team.
  14. Sort of like how Jones wouldn't have had the opportunity without Cruz being out, but... oh yeah.
  15. Totally. Donnell might be the worst blocker I've ever seen.
  16. Actually I meant to also put "on a winning team."
  17. The defense also tackles much better than under Fewell.
  18. I had a big dinner, and I'm not really into Manhattan style chowder anyway. If the game had been in New England it might have been a different story.
  19. I heard a story this summer on the Giants' podcast regarding Damontre Moore. Apparently one day he was at practice and John Mara came and started watching the players. The ensuing conversation went like this: Moore: Yo whassup dawg. Mara: Hi. Moore: How's your day going? Mara. Pretty good so far. Beautiful day for football practice. Moore: Yeah, it is. So, what is it you do around here again? Mara: Damontre, I'm going to pretend like you didn't just say that. Moore: Yeah? Why is that? Mara: Because I write your paycheck. Damontre still has a lot to learn.
