  1. Yeah those are the guys I'd keep too, along with the special teams guys. It'll be interesting to see what direction the new guy goes in. If it's Cowher, we know it'd be linebackers, TE, and a running game.
  2. Well, that's just fucking great. Now we'll probably win on Sunday and keep Reese and Coughlin.
  3. My uncle owns some sporting goods stores in Florida, and knows a lot of college scouts and whatnot. He gets some good insider info but also sometimes hears stuff that's not true, of course... you know how the rumor mill goes. Anyways, he heard that if the Giants lose this weekend, everyone is gone. TC, Reese, the training staff, and many of the players. They're going to blow the whole thing up. Take what you want from that, but it'd sure be an interesting offseason for once (though it will be hard to top the legendary J.T. Thomas signing).
  4. Don't kid yourselves... the only way any of these assistants stay is if the new coach wants them.
  5. He'll end up back in Jacksonville.
  6. There are two glaring problems with this team: 1. Reese has not gotten enough quality players. 2. Jerry Palmieris conditioning program ruins what good players Reese does get. Firing Coughlin solves one of the problems. It's time for him to go.
  7. I think you offer JPP a heavily incentive-laden contract. Maybe 3.5 mil per season but he gets 250 grand per sack. He's young and theres the possibility that his hand gets better than it is now.
  8. Time to see if Mathias Kiwanuka has anything left in the tank. No reason to start the young guys.
  9. I think he's been a real find, but until he learns to block a little better he's pretty one dimensional. But hey, Shannon Sharpe and Jeremy Shockey were both lousy blockers who eventually learned it, no reason to think Tye can't do it as well, but he's just not there yet.
  10. I'm watching it with my old man. I'm rooting for the Eagles and feeling dirty, but he's hoping the skins put us out of our misery.
  11. If I was to pick 3 positions on my wish list: 1. We need a two way linebacker that can play both the run and pass. In eight years Reese has been completely incompetent in this area in both free agency and the draft. I'd recommend a MLB that can be the defensive QB; Brinkley and Unga are backups, not threats. 2. We need a free safety. Merriweather and Collins are both box safeties and while both have their strengths, neither supports the pass well. 3. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I really think a two way TE would do wonders for this offense. The blocking could help the running game on the edge, and having a guy for the short and intermediate routes would be huge with Beckham drawing double coverage. Again, Tye could be that guy maybe if he improves his blocking, but Donnell might be the worst blocking TE I've ever seen... and I saw Zeke Mowatt play. Of course, you could point to literally any position besides wideout and qb and say it needs an upgrade.
  12. Oh no man, I'm not saying someone should have remembered that thread... just that Richburg has been playing well since then. He's a pretty good center; nice pass protector and gets to the second level on run plays. If I have one complaint it's that although he's athletic and nasty, he's not much of a mauler in the run game and has trouble moving bigger DTs.

  14. This is true and as Storm said, we've been playing the "depth" as starters all year. I mean shit, Will Tye is the third string TE and he's been starting for five weeks. However, when your conditioning guy has been consistently bad since 20 years ago when you were coaching in Jacksonville, maybe it's time for a change. That's on Coughlin.
  15. There's a video making the rounds on social media and it's clear that guy has a bat. Not sure that condones Odells behavior but WTF was a bat doing on the field?
  16. Mook misses at least 3 games a season, but when he plays he's decent. Somebody will give him "great corner" money however; no way he's getting 2 mil a season. Trumaine McBride averages 1.5 per season to put it in perspective.
  17. This. Odell was an embarrassment on Sunday.
  18. And judging by the Giants track record in "must win" games, we can expect the Skins to lose on Saturday and the Giants to promptly fold like a card table on Sunday.
  19. I have him in my league. I started Odelling a few months ago... I thought I could keep it under control. Just a weekend here and there, nothing serious... it certainly wouldn't rule my life. But now the suspension... my god, the awful suspension... and I'm jonesing for another receiver who's number one in my fantasy league.
