Honestly, I think that's awesome. He's forging his own way instead of trying to be Coughlin II. Plus, when was the last time Robert Nunn or Pat Flaherty developed anyone who wasn't a first-round draft pick? It's pretty easy to make something out of Ereck Flowers or Weston Richburg, but the Eric Hermanns and Mitch Petruses of the team never even amounted to backups. The best part about the housecleaning? JR has no more excuses. Even Palmieri is gone (thank God).

The odd thing too about Brady is that he was the feel-good story of the league ten years ago. Sixth round pick wins the Super Bowl. He was humble and looked like a great teammate. Now you see the guy losing his shit not just when things don't go their way, but also when they do. Every TD ends up with a screaming, fist pumping celebration... that crew looks like a bunch of frat boy douches after they gang fucked a sorority pledge. If that was Jay Cutler pulling that shit all you'd hear about is how selfish he is and that he's a "team cancer." Then there's the lamb photo shoot, the supermodel wife, deflategate, the smarmy interviews... that dickhead has frittered away any good feelings I had for him. Can't wait till he's out of the league.

Honestly, it doesn't look like that franchise has much going for them. Kelly doesn't look to be a very good coach, Kaepernick isn't a good QB, and Baalke isn't a good GM. They're going to be in the basement for a while.

I think the defensive looked better with JPP in there, but it's clear that club hindered him. If we resign him I'd like to see his contract be fairly incentive-laden.

The Patriots might be the best dynasty of the modern era. However, Tom Brady is the poster boy for being a douche. Screaming, yelling at refs, losing his shit after a TD... at this stage in his career, he should be acting like he's been there before.

Honesty Tree, I'm not sure I understand the difference between talent and production. Was Mike Mamula a more talented pick than Chad Bratzke? Mamula was a physical marvel that never amounted to jack and Bratzke was the consummate overachiever with limited athleticism. We can talk semantics all you like, but I think the point of the thread is that most fans would rather have the 2007 roster than the 2015 one.

I'm still not happy with the move, but HackAdoo backed up by three experienced guys, two of whom have previous HC experience is actually a pretty smart plan. If I was them though, I'd fire Philbin after week 5 or so and hire Dan Campbell.

Cowher has correctly noted that Jerry Reese is incompetent. He's merely biding his time until John Mara realizes it too, and then his master plan is to swoop in after consecutive 4-12 seasons, rescuing the franchise by taking control of both coaching and personnel.
