We don't have to assume anything. It's physically impossible for any human being to be a worse corner than Jayron Hosely. If you disagree with this statement, you are wrong.

Not to mention that Apple will at the very least take the place of Jayron Hosely... and I think we can all agree he's better than Hosely.

I went to planet fitness once... for about two minutes. When I saw what they were offering for 20 bucks I left.

But wasn't the calf due to him favoring it because of the patellar tear? Don't get me wrong, he's one of my all-time favorite Giants and I'm hoping he comes back... but the guy is 30, hasn't played in almost two years, and is coming off of arguably the worst injury an athlete can get.

His career is pretty much over. Some people may not have realized it when the injury happened (including Cruz) but you can't come back from a patellar tear.

You know, it's funny... people used to say, "why doesn't Perry Fewell blitz more!" but if you go back and watch the games, when he did send the blitz, literally every LB was picked up by a blocker. I remember one game where Jameel McClain had a free route to the QB but inexplicably decided to go engage the running back instead.

That's what I've seen as well.

I'm OK with them taking the "best player available" since the team has so many holes to fill, but I think the problem is that most people don't think the best player available was Eli Apple.
