  1. I turned it off about halfway through the second. I already know what this team is... it's the same thing they've been the past 4 years or so. No killer instinct, no playmakers, no spark except for OBJ. We need a real house cleaning, not this half assed shit.
  2. The Giants travel to Lambeau field on a short week to play in prime time against Aaron Rodgers, who's had two weeks to prep for this game coming off a bye. Sounds fair to me.
  3. Honestly, if ODB has 120 yards and two TDs the next two weeks nobody is going to care about this shit. But at the same time... it almost feels like a tipping point. Like, what if he has two more shitty games?
  4. Louder than Meadowlands Stadium? Last time I was there it was so loud you couldn't even nap during the third quarter.
  5. I think mine are already pretty low. Until they get a win that impresses me... say, against a team with a winning record... I'm just gonna stick with 7-9, but I think another 6-10 season is a real possibility. I'm pretty sure there next four games are all against teams with winning records, and we have one against a .500 team so I guess we'll see.
  6. Actually, I was going to write something but if you all just read this instead, you'll get the gist. Like I've been saying... same old Giants.
  7. At one point in the Dallas game before they had scored, it was third-and-something and they run Zeke Elliot behind Travis Frederick. Frederick literally tackles a blitzling linebacker; like, bear hugs him and brings him to the ground. Right in front of the play... no call.
  8. I take it by your silence that you all agree.
  9. True. Odell had a few unforced drops too.
  10. I know this might be the wrong thread for this, but I personally think if he could stop fumbling, Bobby Rainey might be a pretty good 3rd down/scatback type. Some of the cuts I've seen him make the past two weeks have been Dave Megget-esque. Didn't get to check out his blocking but he looks like he might be able to contribute, at least until we get Vereen back.
  11. If it worked with anybody, Eva Green would have been coaching my team a long time ago.
  12. If you say his name three times... he comes to coach your team.
  13. I commented on that too. How was that not a crackback block? I remember Wayne Sorbet from the Jets levelling Strahan with one of those.
  14. Exactly. Give Mac credit... he saw in-line blocking wasn't working with the patsies on the O-line in the preseason, so he changed up the blocking schemes to suit their strengths. Suddenly, we have a running game... but traps and pulls are tough to pull off against a physical D-line, which is what the Vikings have. It's still early in the season and in McAdoo's career... but I'm starting to get a Norv Turner vibe off him. Good-to-great coordinator, but doesn't have what it takes to be an NFL head coach. Being "the man" at the head of the team is about more than X's and O's. Dude does nothing for me on the sidelines.
  15. I admire your enthusiasm, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
  16. Honestly, at least McAdoo understands that when you have a sub-average OL, you don't run five-step drops and 25 yard curls every play. If Gilly were still running the offense, Eli probably would have been killed by now. But it's tough not to get frustrated with the third-and-long give up draws. This team is still severely lacking in talent, and let's face it... McAdoo has never been good at in-game adjustments. How many times in the past two years has the team scored 3 TDs in the first half, and then scored a field goal in the second half? Dude has been outcoached for as long as he's been here.
  17. Could you imagine if Cowher were coaching my son's team? We'd be 5-0 with 1500 rushing yards. Cowher would instill the attitude and toughness my son's team needs.
  18. I'm not getting too wound up over this team. The Giants proved to me last week that they're the same old Giants. We'll be 2-4 in two more weeks en route to a 7-9 season. Can't wait for JPP to turn it on once we're out of playoff contention though.
  19. I agree Beckham needs to be more involved in the game plan, but I also wonder how much of that is McAdoo and how much is Eli trying to keep everybody happy. Beckham was wide open on a few plays and Eli opted for the check down.
  20. Holy shit how much did Jeeruh pay the refs? Some of the worst calls and non calls I've ever seen.
  21. I think in the next year or two, we should start to groom the next guy. The franchise has to at least try to have a Favre-Rodgers transition or we might end up with a Marino... uh... whoever ends up replacing Marino transition.
  22. It's 2016, bigblue. People don't have time to read shit that long anymore.
