  1. Richburg doesn't even look like the same guy this year, Jim. That post was five years old and I'm willing to give Richburg another season but he looks like a B-, C+ kinda guy this season. Last year I loved him; I don't know what the hell happened. Pugh looks serviceable when he plays but he doesn't play very often and gets owned by bigger DTs. He's a B, B- guy but at least he plays all over the line. John Jerry is much improved, which means he's upgraded to a B- to C+ player. Let's put it this way...when it's third-and-one, who is the one guy you feel good running behind? You can get by with one or even two average guys if you have a real playmaker in the midde of your line, but we just don't have that guy. As far as pass blocking goes overall, these guys aren't much better. Eli makes them all look better than they really are... he moves pretty well in the pocket, but many times he's being hit, hurried, and running for his life back there. Don't get me started on Flowers; I'm no longer a believer, at least at LT. We need a difference-maker on the line. Right now we don't have one.
  2. He looked pretty fucking awesome on that one play before he got hurt, huh?
  3. I've thought Flowers has gotten a bad rap to this point but I was wrong. He is not an NFL caliber left tackle.
  4. How about the league issues all the balls to both teams? Does that make any sense?
  5. I was serious when I said we need the exact same things as five years ago. Road grading guard, starting caliber MLB, good running back.
  6. That's what I've been telling the old lady. She thinks I'm mad that the Giants lost... I'm just happy I have a reason to watch the next four games.
  7. Yeah I think we're going 9-7, tops. I thought we'd only win 7 games this year but there's a good possibility we max out at 8. The good news is though, if we get to 10 we've got a great shot at making the postseason.
  8. I've saved you all the trouble of posting in this thread and instead chosen to just link to what we've been asking for the last five offseasons.
  9. What's the opposite of "I likeded it?"
  10. Gonna dust off the jersey?
  11. He's probably a top-5 DE when he's healthy, but you're lucky to get him for 10 games a season, whether it's his back, his shoulder, his abdomen, or he's blowing his hand off.
  12. Dude has always been brittle. Wonder what kind of contract he's offered at the end of the season.
  13. Honestly, the Pugh pick was pretty good all things considered. Take a look at the first rounders from that year... Pugh was one of the better picks.
  14. I saw Lewis out there a lot, even though he doesn't catch with his hands or attack the ball. We need a #3, but we need a better O-line first. These guys don't hold their blocks very well, and Eli makes them all look a lot better than they really are.
  15. One flag was total bullshit but... he's still pretty sloppy, and shows up for at least one flag per game. Starting to remind me of The Human False Start Petitgout. I think we should think about moving him to RT but see what he's got for the rest of the year. We're not going to the playoffs this year anyway or if we somehow sneak in, we're not doing very much once we're there.
  16. No idea why this guy is still on the team to be honest. Not really sure what he brings to the table.
  17. Not as much flex appeal as a picture of me shirtless.
  18. The Cowboys are good, and will continue to be good. Anybody would be good behind that line. Except for Tony Romo. I don't think there's going to be a huge trade market for him. If that guy has had significant injuries behind the league's best line, how long will he last with a merely average line?
  19. Bad officiating is an NFL tradition. It's one of the reasons I've gone from watching 5 games per week to watching one.
  20. Barring the Patriots, the entire league is average. "In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king."
  21. This is the type of article I would have read five years ago but now don't give a shit about.
  22. He's probably the best back on the roster.
  23. That's weird. He's on TV every week saying he's #1. Must be something wrong with PFF.
