  1. Oh shit no Jenkins too? I may want to revise my earlier prediction...
  2. I was thinking the same thing. How bad is our offense if the thoroughly mediocre Broncos attack is carving up the same defense that shut us out last week?
  3. I think they should fire Sullivan if we don't score a TD this week.
  4. "He runs hard" is more than any other back is giving us right now. Damning with faint praise maybe, but at this point I'd give it a shot. Dude accounted for almost half of our total rushing yards on three carries... what do we have to lose?
  5. You are unworthy to speak the name of Bill Cowher, even in reference.
  6. I've been saying more or less the same thing. In Eli's twilight years, we're trying to build a team around the WRs and pass-catching TEs instead of the offensive line and running game. I hope it works, but seems like the exact opposite of what we should be doing.
  7. Blackburn was pretty serviceable while he was here, I thought.
  8. Let's not forget, in 2006 and for the better part of 2007, most of us were calling for Coughin's head. "He's Bill Parcells without the charm!" "How can Eli throw 5 picks against the Vikings," etc. We went 11-5 last season. While I echo many or your concerns, how about see what happens this year before we fire McAdoo? Coughlin had to make changes too; there's still time for Mac to do the same. However, I'll never concede that Coughlin had a good conditioning program. Bottom-third every year he was here in injuries, historically bad the last three years. That's just not acceptable. The two Super Bowls were awesome; maybe they'd be four and he'd still have a job if a third of the team wasn't on IR every year.
  9. Also, is Sterling Shepard incapable of running a greater-than-five-yard route? Is there a clause in his contract that says "five and under only?"
  10. At least we were relatively healthy. Jerry Palmieri's program would have had that exact same roster, but with three DBs on IR and two receivers out with quad injuries.
  11. The ironic thing is that most of us wanted Gilly out because he was too stubborn, and didn't realize with a shitty O-line you have to make adjustments, go to a short passing game, and not have your QB hold onto the ball for five seconds every play. McAdoo looked like he understood that you have to change the scheme to fit your players at first... but now it looks like he may not have understood that so much as his scheme fit the players in that place and time. I sure haven't seen a whole lot of adjustments lately to fit the personnel, especially on the O-line. This is a finesse group of blockers, not power guys... where are the traps and pulls? Where is the creativity? Why is Evan Engram running 5-yard crossing patterns when he's arguably the fastest TE in the league?
  12. I think a third of our team just went in IR. Don't ever say that again.
  13. For the life of me I don't know why Darkwa isn't getting the ball more. Dude makes yards literally every time he touches the rock.
  14. Obviously you all know NOTHING of Bill Cowher. He could coach the entire league in one afternoon while playing QB and Left Tackle, and fight Mike Tyson at the end of the day (and knock him out in under a minute).
  15. Jeez.... it's IMGRATES. Are you new here or something?
  16. I've said it before and now again... Diehl, Seubert, O'Hara, Snee, McKenzie. None of Reeses guys have been an adequate replacement, period.
  17. https://www.bigblueview.com/2017/9/12/16292380/valentines-views-stubbornness-of-jerry-reese-ben-mcadoo-holding-ny-giants-back
  18. The truly puzzling thing from my point of view (and I said it before and during the draft) is that in this stage of a franchise QB's career, most teams are trying to build a mauling offensive line and a power running game like the Elway Broncos, Favre Packers/Vikings, etc. Ask your QB to throw high-percentage passes maybe 20 times a game and keep him fresh for the season... let him lean on the running game. This team is literally doing the exact opposite... asking a 38 year old QB to chuck the ball 40+ times a game behind a ragtag offensive line with little to no running game. We'll see how things turn out but it sure looks like a recipe for failure to me, and I don't feel like it's rocket science.
  19. If Coughlin were still here I'd guarantee you Harrison or Collins or JPP... hell, maybe all of our top notch defenders... would at best be on IR, at worst have career ending injuries. Palmieri was the WORST conditioning coach I've ever seen. Love what TC did here but it was his time to go.
  20. This is why that guy is so dumb. He's talking about Eli like he's got this great line with all this time to throw... and the clips are all of him getting destroyed. He all but blames Eli for the Giants having no running game... uh, what? "Offensive Genius Ben McAdoo?" Fucking seriously? He had one good season as a coordinator. Eli looks like Eli. In '07 he threw five picks against Minnesota. He's always been streaky, but we can definitely win with him. I'm not willing to say he's "lost it" until he's playing behind an NFL caliber line again.
  21. Well, I was ready to give up on Eli till I heard Colin Cowturd already has. That guy is wrong about just about everything.
