  1. I have mixed feelings. This would seem to be the case, but everyone who's left that organization has ended up being pretty terrible.
  2. I didn't understand the Sean Payton love... but he's actually got a fantastic winning percentage (.600) as a head coach.
  3. Holy fuck... I'm ten sentences in and already the spelling and grammar looks like it's from a ten year old. Whatever happened to editors?
  4. There's only three ways Webb sees the field: 1. Eli gets hurt and Geno plays like Geno. 2. Mara requests it. 3. In a fit of desperation, HackAdoo puts him in hoping to win a few games at the end so that he can say "this is the guy I wanted in the draft, it was actually Eli who held us back, look how good my system is with the right QB, etc." I still think the chances are slim. Maybe the team should call Coughlin to find out the best way to "turn our 3rd into a first" like he did during all those 6-10 seasons with Ryan Nassib.
  5. If it's up to him he certainly might. New York being the media Giant that it is though will probably play heavily in his decision... it's the biggest market in the country, and I don't think it's a coincidence that guys like Phil Simms and Joe Namath are still able to make careers out of being former football players.
  6. It's hard to say. It'll all depend on the opinion of the new GM and HC. I personally wouldn't get rid of him but those people don't even exist at their jobs yet, so who knows.
  7. He doesn't have a "me first" frame of mind. Terrell Owens had that, and so did Randy Moss, and so does Antionio Brown. Those guys lose their mind if they don't have the ball. Beckham never complains about his QB, his teammates, or whatever awful game plan HackAdoo has put together for the week. Look for any quote of Odell calling out anybody... you won't find it. Beckham is a good teammate, he's just more than a little weird and high strung.
  8. Pretty telling that Marc Ross had TEN GM interviews and nobody hired him.
  9. This. Who's Albert Breer?
  10. You hear that crowd in Jacksonville? I haven't heard Giants stadium that loud since... well... ever.
  11. I'd agree with all of this, except also that he kept around coaches and players a little too long (Tim Lewis, Kevin Gilbride, Mathias Kiwanuka) and also had the worst conditioning program in the league. There is no reason why Jerry Palmieri should have ever had a job in the Giants' building. But there's no doubt about it, he was a great coach, and one of the Giants' best all-time.
  12. No he wasn't. He asked if he was going to be fired and the GM told him yes, so he finished out the season anyway. I always wonder what was up with that guy. You get the Norv Turners of the league failing on their third team and meanwhile Jim Fassel finished with a winning record and was never seen or heard from again. I heard rumors both of infidelity on that boat that he bought, drinking, and wearing his NFC Championship ring to interviews but you'd think if people are OK trotting out Jeff Fisher for eight seasons you'd give a shot to Jimbo.
  13. Not just that, but he definitely plays with attitude. When we were out of the game he was the only one playing angry.
  14. I could see a reason to fire the GM now, if only so that the new guy could evaluate the talent on the team. I'm not sure who you would replace him with right now, and/or whether or not guys you might want (like the guy from the Patriots) are under contract with their teams and unable to talk right now like assistant coaches are. Regardless, it's really not the Giants way. A total housecleaning is in order, but that will come after the season. Far-fetched though it may be, there's still a chance we finish with a winning record... Dan Reeves' Giants looked pretty awful at 3-7, but I remember everyone bubbling about Reeves and Brown once they finished 9-7.

  16. I saw a real, live seam route today!
  17. But... but we can still finish 9-7. Only a few pieces away from the Super Bowl!
  18. Chalk him up with Rashad Jennings and the fantastic stable of draft picks Reese has gifted to the Giants. That guy sure has an eye for talent.
  19. Good thing we drafted Forrest Lamp with Pugh, Richburg, and Fluker all hitting free agency then.
  20. 9 consecutive games with a TD from the TE.

DaMontre Moore is available. Should we kick the tires? i've heard he has some skills that are rare... like the rare skill to keep every opponent's drive alive with a dumbass penalty.
