  1. Viewership is down because the product on the field sucks, not because of kneeling or standing or whatever.
  2. What's wrong with Bocce? You racists don't like the sport of my people? You're looking at the team Bocce champion of Readsboro, Vermont!
  3. Holy shit I didn't even know that existed. I have to start watching more college ball.
  4. Is there any way we can get a minor league football league so that we don't have to post about standouts from OTAs?
  5. The only reason he wasn't the worst is because we also had Bobby Hart on the line, who was literally the worst. Hart was the lowest-graded RT in the league last season. Nobody would think Flowers' play is adequate, regardless of what round he was picked in. Will Beatty had a horrible season one year and literally everyone on this board was calling for his head. Flowers graded out as the 51st best tackle in the league last year, if you believe PFF... that's really bad. Some really smart people were calling for OL and LB help last year during the draft. Too bad Jerry Reese wanted to take more skill position players instead.
  6. I thought that too. And maybe lay off the weed.
  7. Meh... he was an undrafted rookie, so if he gives you anything you're pretty happy. I hope the Big Wheel does well for us, but he's not a guy I'd have my team rely on, that's for sure.
  8. I was wondering that too. Shurm basically said that players should keep their mouths shut to the media about other players' business. And yeah, I never understood the Bisnowaty love. Dude was a sixth-round draft pick that didn't do much in college and had a bad scouting report... but hey, he looks like a Viking! "Can he be our starter at LT?" Spoiler alert: No.
  9. To get back to the original question, I was pretty stoked with the 2015 draft. I didn't like the Flowers pick, but I loved the trade up for Collins and thought Odigizuwa was a steal in the 3rd. I also thought Geremy Davis and Bobby Hart had a chance to at least be contributors to the team.
  10. My guess is that it won't suck as badly this year. However, he did have a 14-yard run up the middle in 2017. I bet he ends up on the Patriots and goes on to have a great career, like Marcus Kuhn did. Perhaps he'll make his way to the Broncos and bust out like Marvin Austin. And of course, there's always the chance the Colts pick him up and he resurrects his career a'la Hakeem Nicks. Hard to imagine what life will be like without Paul Perkins on the roster. I really hope this doesn't come back and bite the Giants in the ass.
  11. The Giants would be dumb to let Beckham walk.
  12. Pretty sure Ben McAdoo is available if you guys are still second-guessing your coaching choice.
  13. That's not good for winning football games... but it's great for eye candy!
  14. I'm still a little worried about that right side of the line... but given Gettleman's past of getting "diamonds in the rough" through FA and the draft, specifically on the OL, I have to give the benefit of the doubt.
  15. Assuming you believe PFF... here is what our line looked like and what it looks like now, with their respective category grades. Flowers - Pugh - Richburg - Jerry - Hart Poor - Poor - Average - Average - Poor Solder - Hernandez - Jones - Omameh - Flowers Average - *No Grade - Below Average - Poor - Poor So assuming Hernandez is "Average" in his rookie year, we're coming out ahead. How much ahead is up for debate, but the line should be at least slightly improved... also assuming that Flowers is the starting RT and does at least as well (as poorly?) on the right side as he did on the left.
  16. I think we'll certainly be better this year but I also think .500 is probably our ceiling.
  17. Pugh? He's gone, and so are Fluker and Richburg. On the plus side, we still have John Jerry locked up for the next two years. I can see Saquon for no gain over right guard now...
  18. I think Nas was being feces-ious.
  19. He's still a free agent? I'd love to have him back.
  20. Connor Barwin is still a free agent. We drafted Lorenzo Carter to replace Some Guy... could Connor Barwin fill the role vacated by Some Other Guy?
  21. I actually feel pretty bad for Flowers. He's done everything the team's asked him to do.. played hurt... lost weight... has been a mainstay at the facility in the offseason. It must be really rough to try your ass off and still fail in the public eye, especially if you're a 23 year old kid who's been lauded for his athleticism his entire life. When I look at him, I don't see a bad person or a slacker like he's being made out to be, I just see a really frustrated kid.
  22. I would have taken Hudson over Hicks. I used to hate it when Hicks would be like "It's game over, man! It's game over!"
  23. Yeah I just started looking up highlights too. He actually looks really accurate and at the senior bowl squeezed that ball into some pretty tight windows. Arm strength didn't look terrible either but Webb definitely has the stronger arm.
  24. If we're "winning now" and it seems like we are, then I don't understand this pick. We already have a developmental qb on the roster and as others have said, guys like Josh Sweat and Tyrell Crosby were still on the board. Poor arm strength is a big concern.
