  1. I think the idea that the line is "fixed" may be just a bit premature. "Improved" may be more like it.
  2. Punching a retarded kid? That's cold, man...
  3. Probably because of shit like this. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/dez-bryant-goes-on-epic-twitter-tirade-by-ripping-cowboys-and-sean-lee-loves-clueless-jerry-jones/
  4. Yeah fuck Tiki Barber. Aside from all the shit Rik posted he also cheated on/left his pregnant wife so he could have an affair with some intern half his age. Seriously, fuck that guy.
  5. I have to admit, it's really nice to see a GM that recognizes a team weakness and addresses it. A week ago, I'd have said that pass rush and DBs were weak spots... both were addressed this week. Last year, we had weak OL and LB units and responded by signing pass rushers, wide receivers, and DBs.
  6. He'll probably be the starter with Lorenzo Carter rotating in behind him. Nice to see a GM that doesn't ignore an entire unit of the defense.
  7. Some dudes might have the coin... but they'll never have the Quon.
  8. Tickets just went on sale too for the game at Giants stadium. I found a nice set of nosebleed seats for six billion dollars.
  9. Since Jenkins is going to count 12 million against the cap in 2019 and who knows what the hell is going on with Eli Apple, this was probably a pretty good risk to take.
  10. My guess is that his kid is one now, his wife hasn't slept in 14 months and he's getting a rash of shit from her every day.
  11. I heard something on the Giants beat writers podcast and will echo it here... there definitely seems to be something going on with Snacks Harrison this offseason. He swung a helmet at Hernandez, skipped OTAs and has apparently been really salty both with the press and fans on Twitter.
  12. Yeah I was of the same opinion as Nas but the last half of the season I felt that Shepard really turned it on. Might not be Cruz in his prime but he's better than average.
  13. I thought that the O-line and D-line were no contact? I heard on the Giants podcast the other day too that Engram had a play where he motioned out wide and then beat Jenkins on a go route. I've also heard Eli Apple referred to as the "most impressive person in camp" but I'm not sure if that's due to his play or the fact that he's apparently matured a lot this offseason.
  14. I'll go ahead and Google because I'm not lazy like Tree. And, just for more fun.
  15. I got two things outta this article: 1. Webb is a film junkie that will do whatever it takes to succeed, and football is a hobby/way of life to him as much (or maybe even moreso) than a job. 2. He knows the one big thing he has over Lauletta is his arm strength, and might even be giving Lauletta a bit of a burn in practice every day by tossing the ball 70 yards. I think he knows Lauletta probably read this article too.
  16. It's going to be really interesting watching this team with Shurmur at the helm too. Gettleman is a real leader, and he's made sure every position group has at least one veteran who's also a vocal leader. Shurmur himself though? Not a leader of men. Still doesn't maintain eye contact, still shrugs his shoulders... his body language and demeanor are terrible. Maybe since there's so many other strong personalities on the team the Giants can pull it off and be competitive but if we have a shitty start to year two I think he's going to be outta here. Kids in their 20s aren't going to sacrifice their bodies for Coach Quiet Guy.
  17. Don't forget my personal favorite... "Let's sign a TE and play him less than 50% of the time despite him being the best player on our offense." Yes, you read that correctly... Rhett Ellison was the highest-graded Giant on offense last year.
  18. Hakeem Nicks isn't even in the league anymore.
  19. Maybe we'll hear Vernon say that he's also getting his hands up and asking a lot of questions.
  20. Just got a chance to watch this during my lunch break. That's one hell of a video.
  21. Funny thing... I coached the defense last year for the 4-6th grade team, and I was definitely the "harder" coach. I had no problems yelling, making kids run laps, chewing them out in front of their parents, etc. This year I've come out and told everyone that I'm not coaching this upcoming season and everyone has more or less said the same thing, "oh my God you HAVE to coach next season!" This is from the parents and siblings of most of the kids I chewed out. I think if you're tough but fair, and definitely balance your scolding and your praise, people will deal with it if you're an asshole from time to time.
  22. Sit, stand, kneel... I could honestly give a fuck about any of this. I'd love it if we stopped fellating the military before every game too. What does a football game have to do with military service members?
